I agree with chuck, 31 sometimes comes off as a rude dude.

I actually don't disagree with you there. To me it is embarrassing for a " respected professional" to write a column like that, but overall you are correct Step. It becomes funny when dump, who knocks Brooks all the time, is using him as some validation. And then 31 says give dump credit for being the only one to call this team what it is.

But yeah on Brooks...I agree with you 100% Step.

He is what he is Step. I actually don't get upset with him normally because I know what he is and make my peace with it.

I do get bothered when he continually trolls me though and then goes off on a tirade calling me names though when he starts by saying Chuck is obsessed. Yes...I am obsessed as he trolls me over and over again for years with rude and obnoxious posts.

He is what he is. Feel bad for the guy actually.

Not the first time you have gone off on a tirade calling me names...I agree 31...well said buddy. The point is YOU are the issue here not me. I have ZERO issues with any poster on this board...outside of you. Dump and I have gone at it for years, but I actually like dump a lot. He is not rude like you are...he is not obsessed with me like you are. I understand that we can disagree and it is okay.

Your problem is flat out you cannot simply say you have a HUGE issue with me and have for years. Just say it. Just own it. Just admit you troll me. Just admit you have some weird obsession with me. Just admit it already and stop trying to act as if it is me.

You are incapable of doing it, because you are obsessed with me, but you do you and I will do me. You cannot do it though, and will be back soon to be rude and call me some name...who you are. And then be all shocked when people think you are rude.

I am 100% on board to not post about you, and you don't post about me, easy for me and hard for you I know...:), but you would never ever agree to that. Again who you are.

All good bro...is what it is.

Again proving my point. You cannot help it 31. OBSESSED. You truly do not get it at all. And that is why I actually feel bad for you. You are lost on this one and just don't get it 31...LOL.

They do ideally need two trades, one for a forward to add some punch around the net and really they could use a vet dman to spell either of Staal or Girardi if needed(and believe you me it will be :) ).
Perhaps Skjei or (hethem)Mcilrath could fill in a playoff game but i think they could use another cheap guy around.

Things should certainly not be reaching this level. Both of you need to work this out which I'm sure Trueblue is going to ask of you.

No need. I take responsibility. Doesn't matter if he goes off on a tirade of name calling, it is on me for escalating it. I take responsibility. Won't happen again. I am over it. My fault and I take the blame. Nothing to see here moving forward between us.

I focus on adding a legit scoring forward. I think McIlrath can be a solid player for us in the playoffs if needed.

To me the interesting thing still will be what happens with Yandle. If he is dealt where does that leave our D? Can a RD play LD? Do we play Skjei? Do we add a cheap vet to be the 6th dman on LD?

Curious to see what we do, because I still truly believe we are a legit scoring forward away from having a chance to win a cup, and that's all you can ask for . If we lose to the Caps in the 2nd round, so be it. You have to give yourself a chance at least, and from there the chips will fall where they may.

I still think it would be very silly to deal Yandle if they are really going to make a push towards the playoffs. Of course it would be great to recoup a pick/prospect but they got him for 2 playoff runs so to subract what he adds imo to the team is not smart to me. I think Boeddker and Ladd are the two guys they should be zeroed in on, both from a talent and cap standpoint.

Who knows which way we'll go, but right now that will be the biggest question as the DL approaches.

I always felt if we were playing well and a legit SC threat they would roll the dice with Yandle. If we are up and down and not a real honest SC threat he gets dealt for sure (why would anyone want to keep him if this is the scenario).

So I think how we play over the next couple of weeks will play into that decision. That will be the huge decision IMO.

Yikes. Chuck you can't say you're not going to take the bait, then fire off all those posts. You make yourself an easy target by getting so worked up.

Everyone here needs to chill and go play in the snow for a little. Dump where do you live I'm gonna snowball the shit out of your house

Agree 100% Prod. That is why I take full responsibility despite his comments. On me...I am over it. Let's get back to hockey talk.

Team is playing much better recently. Hopefully we can get 2 more W's before we head into the AS break.

I don't really know of any other trade targets they could realistically add who would fit salary wise and also add enough offensively. Any other names you guys have offhand?

I can smell the dope Chuck is smoking even in this blizzard. He is so lost on the flaws of this team it's mind boggling. Nothing new there. He never has shown any ability to be objective.

I try not to speculate on names too much, because who really knows which players are available, but I do agree it would have to be a very specific fit given our cap situation.

I may be in the minority, but I still truly believe if we can add another legit scorer, preferably one with some grit, we can be a legit SC threat again.

The D has gotten better, and will continue to do so as the games get bigger. The O needs to be improved some to make us legit (unless Kreider and Hayes really get it going along with Miller continuing his strong play).

If we can add that guy upfront and improve the PK we can be a legit threat again. They said it last night, we are 2nd in the NHL in 5 on 5 goal differential. That has to matter.

I disagree dump. I think I am very objective. We are not a legit SC threat right now. I don't think we are close to as far off as you think though, that is where we disagree. I believe if we added a legit scoring forward we could be as dangerous as any team.

We all know on paper the Caps are the best and will be tough to beat, but in the NHL the # 1 team very rarely wins, so anything can happen. Have to be in it to win it.

Vrbata as a rental. He's been discussed before. Will help the PP and give us a different look as a right shot.
