You gotta think about the Carlos Boozer, the Deron Williams, Hakim Warrick, Leandro Barbosa, it seems like there's little chance although his name could appear in the balloting.

I dont think zach randolph should get the award, microfracture knee surgery or not. hes already gotten it. I can see kevin martin winning it. hes got a crazy shot, but it works somehow.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (WELCOMEtotheJUNGLE @ Jan 4 2007, 04:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>AL Jefferson is slowly becoming 2nd option for the Celtics. And why can't I say AL J has become a dominant force for us? He has, as a starter he's averaging 16 and 12, that's the same numbers as Dwight Howard who anyone on this board would probably call dominant. And Jefferson has better rebounding numbers than ZAZA and also Jefferson has only started 15 games this season. His numbers would be a hell of a lot better if he had been starting every game and didn't miss some games because of an injury. Look at the numbers he's been putting up as of lately, he has been great, he might not be putting up 25 points every game but he's been having consistent double-doubles. I'd consider that somewhat dominant.</div>If the voting was today, they wouldn't go "Oh Al has been averaging 13 on this season", and someonelse wouldn't go "Oh wait but hold on, hes averaging 16 and 12 as a starter". Hes averaging 13 PPG, period. Anyways, he is slowly becoming a 2nd option, but yet he is not. Until then, you cant make your case. and Second, Dwight Howard is a first option, unlike Big Al. Look Im not arguing saying that Al is sh*t, hes just not number one for MIP. Not now at least, maybe some time, and he will be.

First of all, Dwight Howard doesn't have Paul Pierce and Wally Szczerbiak alongside him now, does he? And secondly, Dwight Howard is not necessarily the "first option." Orlando doesn't really have a go-to guy that they can call their #1 option. They all work together, they all get equal opportunities, and they offensive plan they use is more or less gone by the flow of the game.

Besides, WTJ already cleared the Big Al discussion up (which is why there was no need for me to even jump in), but he is correct in saying that Big Al is beginning to develop into the second option.

And right now (with Pierce injured) AL J is pretty much tied with Tony Allen as a #1 option for the Boston Celtics, you're making completely ignorant statements. You obviously don't know jack sh*t about the Boston Celtics because every team we play is constantly putting a double-team on Al Jefferson. So I'm pretty sure I can make a case with saying AL J is a #2 or #1 option right now. And I never said he was #1 for MIP, I'm saying he can make a case for it based on his improvements and the fact that his numbers continue to climb. He was averaging around 9 and 6 to start off the season and hes jumped to around 14 and 10, with him being a starter now his numbers will continue to improve.
