I'll reserve my thoughts once this season is done. If it ends without a Stanley Cup, my answers won't be welcoming.
Sorry. I know what will happen in the playoffs with this team. They are going to get the shit kicked out of them because the roster is not good enough and the coach is a moron. Putting Glass out there has once again destroyed the 4th line. I can't believe Gorton has cut that asswipe yet. The big, forwards on this team play like pussies and they don't score goals. At least one of them has to be shipped out. That kind of incompetence can't be tolerated.
Not for nothing, this team hasn't won jack shit since 1994 and fans like you continue to act like they have accomplished something. They have accomplished jack shit since 1994. There aren't any points for winning some playoff games.
I think fans just act like fans. Before 2004 the Red Sox hadn't won since 1918. They still had some of the more passionate fans in all of sports. Fans don't hope their team loses so they can claim they were right about something all along.
The goal is to win the cup. This team has had the best goalie in the world for over a decade. Nothing to show for it. It's time the core of the team has major changes made to it. It's also time for the GM of this team to discipline his coaches roster choices by getting rid of Glass and sending him a much needed message.
Yes, the goal is to win the cup. They tried their best the last couple of years and came up short. It happens but that doesn't mean all fans have to play ultimate Monday Morning QB and claim that every move the last handful of seasons now suck. At this point they have to legitimately look at what they can so to improve the team. Just because fans still support the club doesn't make them idiots. I've said repeatedly they need to make a move or two. What some want is a snap of the finger and the roster transforms into exactly what they want. It's unrealistic is doesn't work that way. If you want a complete tear down that's your opinion and your entitled to it. I'd rather see them make a move or two and go from there.
