I think Peyton Manning is the best player at the toughest position, I think he should have won the MVP...but LT had a huge TD year and thats all the voters look at...who had the big season...And then Drew Brees was 2nd in voting...ugh...I like LT and Brees but give me a break.
I agree with LT as the MVP. Shaun got it last year didn't he and LT had a better year this year than Shaun did last year. Peyton's year last year was better than this years too. So if LT had a better year than Shauns year that was better than Peytons, LT deserved it.

It's all about who had the big sexy statistical year...ugh...I hate it.
Well if the numbers and LT's record setting season isn't a reason to give him an MVP then what is? Peyton is the same guy but just because he's the best regular season QB doesn't mean he should get it every single season. He threw 17 or 18 less TD passes than his MVP season and his team choked away a first round bye by losing to two 8-8 teams and a 6-10 one to finish off the season while LT, one of his teams 2 offensive weapons had an incredible season and led his team to the best record in the AFC. It wasn't just more goal line carries. That .9 yard per carry increase is huge for a running back. In only 9 more carries than last year he had about 350 more yards.

Having a new 6'8" 340 pound rookie sensation at LT in Marcus McNeill could have very well been the reason for it. Football is a team game. Peyton Manning isn't to blame for those losses and LT is not the reason they have won so many games. LT's been amazing since the start of his career and the Chargers have stunk...the Charges development of an offensive line and defense line/pass rush is the main reason for them jumping up into the leagues top teams....The Colts defensive struggles are the reason they have slipped... I just have issues with this stat happy voters...Peyton Manning won after having his record setting year because of big defensive rules changes...Now LT gets more redzone carries and they go to Antonio Gates less and all the sudden he's the MVP...ugh...
Well it goes to the person who has the best season. I don't know how LT DIDN'T deserve it...LT is extremely valuable to his team and was great this season. Peyton Manning gets help from his teammates too and he has a lot more talent on his offense than LT does. Stats show hoe good you did every season and if you want to take those away then the Chargers only have 2 options on offense and LT is one of them, he was the reason for most of the teams TD's, he was amazing.
Wow I bet even Pacersfan saw this coming... But I agree with it. The guy had a historic year, I don't see how you could give it to anyone else. But I will say that he had a lot of help in the fact of: 1) how many touches he had (a lot of them), and 2) good players around him. Yes, LT is an amazing football player, but those two factors played a lot into his success and IMO that is extremely overlooked in processes like MVP voting.
It's so hard to decide who is the most valuable in the league because football is based around the team aspect.LT wasn't a horrible pick though, as BCB is making it out to be. There was a good number of candidates, and one of them happened to get the luck to be chosen as MVP.Well maybe it;s not luck, but I made my point.

Marvin Harrison is solid and Reggie Wayne is good but that that good...the Colts have a good but not great offensive line...an average running game...
So Manning should win every single year and the award should only go to quarterbacks because that's the 1 most important position right? Tomlinson pretty much was the offense this season. He's the best all-around back in the league this year and anyone that has such a great season deserves the MVP. Manning's o-line is just as good as the Chargers' o-line. He has a great #1 option, a good #2 option a solid TE and a good duo on the backfield that can block, receive and run well. LT's team has a rookie quarterback who never really had a big game due to the fact that his #1 wide receiver had 659 yards receiving and no touchdowns. A guy who's career high in TD's is 4. There is only Gates and LT on that offense and LT deserves the credit for having a season like he did and leading the Chargers to the best record in the AFC. Manning is the leader of a team that choked away their 1st and then 2nd seed.
I would have no problem with Manning winning it every year, hell he's the best in football why not. Don't forget Antonio Gates, he's pretty much a WR, he had over 70 catches, 900 yards and 8-9 TD's.

He's the biggest choker in the playoffs at the QB position currently.

The Colts have one of the smallest defenses in recent memory, their defense is designed for smaller/faster guys and it's ridiculously inneffective when it's needed most.
You are right about their defense but Peyton really underachieves in the playoffs. He's just an above average QB when it comes to the big games. He has thrown 12 TD's and 10 INT's in his playoff career. He's had some good games but when his teams are eliminated it's usually because of a really bad game by him.
I knew it!I'm the biggest Colts homer ever but I knew LT deserved it, besides Peyton is gonna have a Superbowl MVP soon :winkglasses:

The Colts defense is uglier than barbara streisand would be if her <strike>head</strike> nose was blown up 200 times.
I don't think it was the defense that made them lose in Peyton's 0 TD 2 INT game and Peyton's 1 TD 4 INT game and that one other elimination game where his QB rating was like 36...

Offense play doesn't matter if the defense cant hold a 200 year old lady to under 250 rushing yards.
