I think its more like they now know what they are getting into and made a huge mistake offering the first one to us rowdies... lol

OKay, so one suite so far for the Miami gfame. SInce KJ and I are footing the bulk of the bill, Im gonna call a preempt and just say we are going with this one.
NOw if a second suite wpould like to be had on a weeknight for those that cant make the weekend.. maybe we should start another thread for a second weeknight suite? ANd then maybe one last thread for a mutual location viewing party?

Denny, I like the Charity thing, but personally, if we are going to do it, Id like to get them a suite for next year. A viewing party at some third party location just doesnt seem like a very good charity to give. :)

IMO the charity thing is a bad idea.

    1. It would involve background checks on everyone who will be around the children. I can pass mine but it would be a massive undertaking and expense to compile them on everyone going.

    2. Last year at a Duck football game an underprivileged teen left a group and raped brutally raped a woman. We could be libel for anything that happens.

    3. Wanting to hangout with kids in a suite just sounds creepy.

Again, if we want to all chip in and buy some tickets to send kids to a game is a great idea but I see too many problems wanting to hangout with them.

FWIW, I expect the charity would send their own representatives and staff to make sure everything goes well.

I wouldn't trust kids around SPD though.

Exactly. If we do it< Id prefer to just offer the suite up, not participate. We would demand pictures and a write up of how it went though. :)

Bad news. Blazers just got back to me regarding the Miami game. No Suites left. I am waiting on an answer for the April 9th game the following Saturday. IF that is sold out, I will try for the Thursday night game that was one of the original choicees.
Something tells me we are a day late and a dollar short though.

I was offered group tickets where we could sit next to each other, but man, some of you I don't want to sit next to and some of you don't want to sit next to me. I declined. I think if we are going to do it, ( i'm hoping i'm speaking for the majority), we would want the freedom to move around that the suite offers. Plus the private bathrooms was priceless. :)

She's off base and unreachable during this moment of crisis?

Pull an Al Haig and make a command decision.

How does that work? Do you take many Coors Lights, dehydrate and concentrate them into a smaller amount and then smo.............wait, that would just make normal beer.
