Nate with his beloved overboard hysterics lol...

too bad Zaza fell just short of being named a starter by the fans.

You know what man, we were discussing the topic and then you made it personal. It's no wonder there's nobody on the Ducks forum anymore. You're incapable of keeping it on topic.

    Carry on, I guess. :sigh:

I agree with that but what scares me is they go with Dirk instead of Dame

Dame was a replacement last year before Dirk and Dames raised his level of play while Dirk hasn't.

It's the only result that really makes any sense. If it shakes out that way, the "who got snubbed" discussion will all be centered on the question of "Aren't the Spurs good enough that they deserve two all-stars?", because there won't actually be anyone they can point to to say "That player really deserved to be in over this other player."

Then again, maybe the NBA wants the "who got snubbed" discussion...:dunno:

same old silly Nate. The topic started off as a link an article assessing DL's season, AS chances & how his reaction will be different then last year if he doesn't make it. Like most threads of any length it's gone in many different directions including your completely nonsensical claims about what the game is and should be about (statistical achievement). I interjected what the game actually is and has been about since forever... a popularity contest for the starters from the fan vote & the coaches filling out the rest of the roster as they subjectively see fit which has always included factoring in team performance. You respond to reality by veering even further off into never never land saying they should just add the rest of the W's/Spurs roster then.... & I'm the one who can't stay on topic??? Predictable as the sun rising in the East that you can't accept reality and are angry at those who point it out.

Well, my post was still on topic, i.e. about who should be in the allstar game. Your post called me out as a person, which is pretty much how all our debates go. Why can't you just comment on the post and not the poster?

    Tony Parker? Seriously?

The guy averaging 12.5 ppg, 5 assists, and 2.6 rebounds? THAT Tony Parker?

I'm looking at Parker's last five games:

Vs CLE - 24 points, 3 steals, 4 rebounds, 2 assists (okay not bad)

    Vs DAL - 2 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds in 25 minutes (2 points?)

    @ PHX - DNP

    @ LAL - 10 points, 2 assists, 1 rebound in 22 minutes

    @ GSW - 5 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound in 18 minutes

Yup.... dude is DEFINITELY an All-Star.

That is totes what it should be.

I think Dirk might sneak in though as another "legend" pick

The fact that anyone thinks that Dirk or Tony Parker are All-Stars is simply ridiculous. Some of these guys get in on name alone.

Those two would be a bigger tragedy than Kobe. No matter how distasteful it is to me to say this, at least Kobe is still a "star", regardless of current production. Those other two, not at all.

The fact that they left Aldridge off, but put Parker on is HILARIOUS. You know someone told him about it. He's not even considered the second best player on the team by Kenny and Chuck.

I honestly hope Dame goes on vacation and rests his foot...the allstar game has lost all it's luster for me...boring waste of vacation time in my view

I think the coaches will vote Dame in...he's clearly an allstar talent, but I like seeing that chip on his shoulder if he gets snubbed. It'll fuel his second half of the season
