No, I would foul in that situation. It gives the other team no chance to win the game right there. Plus the guy has to shoot twice to get 2 points and only once to get 3 and win the game.

Don't act like it's a stupid strategy just because you wouldn't use it. Many coaches like George Karl do it in these type of situations. Phil Jackson isn't one to do this because the Lakers are a good defending team but it was just a thought.

I did say I think Bibby would go for the win. But I'm sure they would want to tie.But it still is saying that your D-# is not that good and they can't stop them.JMO, but I wouldn't of fouled.

It is better to go into overtime then to lose because of a three. That is a strategy alot of coaches use. But luckily we didn't have to.</div>What the hell kind of coach have you been watching? That's basically the worst thing you can do. Not only for the fact that it lets them tie the game but it also just confidence wise, it's telling your team, "Okay, your defense is so bad that we are going to give this team 2 points just so they won't get a three.". I mean, what are the percentages on free throws? Then look at the percentages on threes? You play hard defense and if they're gonna have to be a 30 footer with a hand in the face. Percentage wise it's probably more likely that the other team is gonna miss a free throw and get the rebound back (if you were to foul) then to hit a three in that situation.

You guys shouldn't take anything away from Kobe's passing game. Yes he can pretty much score at will and drop 30 or 40 as you said but the guy did have 9 assists tonight is going to be averaging almost 6 apg tomorrow.

God, my voice is hoarse right now. A coffee mug, a flashlight, two pencils, and a pullout mattress are broken in my poolhouse. All the furniture is "rearranged". And I'm pretty sure all my neighbors think a murder happened at our house tonight. But a wins a win. :winkglasses:

So the overtime basically amounted to only 1 of Kobe's assists but it doesn't really matter...he still came up 1 assist short. In the end it doesn't matter. A win is a win.

My dad was gone and he has to hook a bunch of stuff up and everything. He does most of our wiring and all that sh*t for us since he's ridiculously good at it.
(Back to the subject of the Lakers) Wow...and the Lakers are playing Denver tomorrow night. Back to Backs are hard especially after an overtime game and with the injuries. At least the game will be at home.
