Bird, Ackley, Refsnyder, Hicks, Heathcott. I'm guess that Bird, Heathcott & Refsnyder all get sent down. leaving Ackley to back up 2B, OF & 1B & Hicks for OF. CATCHER, Sanchez or Romine?

Yeah that 4 spot has got his name written all over it. Which makes me wonder about Teixeira, what happens if he has a great 2016 season? I'm talking 30+, 100+ & 260-270+ Just what Cashman would need to resign him to a short term deal & the hell with Bird.
I hear you Ron but at least with the addition of Castro Gardner can be moved from the top of the order. And in your opinion what would you do if Teixeira has a monster year. resign him short term (say 2 years) for less money or let him walk & slide Bird in?
...^^^ Castro won't be playing at Wrigley Field anymore, plus I think that his questionable defense may offset what offense he may bring to the table...hope I'm wrong. ...as far as Tex, I'd probably wait and see if Bird can repeat what he did last year with the bat...if he excels, let Tex walk...if he struggles, consider Tex on an incentive laden ONE year deal based on performance and/or his ability to stay healthy as opposed to spending a lot of time on the DL. A one year deal would mean he'd be 37+ years old by the time the contract is over. ...problem is, if Tex does have the kind of year you mentioned, some other team may be willing to give him more than one year...if that's the case, see ya Tex.
Should the Hsteins and Cashman see yesterdays commentary written by Wallace Matthews & A Marchand (idiots) they should hang their heads in collective shame. One article promotes the Mets as the "new" Yankees, the other dealt with Warren being traded. (another bad move. Maybe I'm missing part of the "plan" or can't see the "big" picture but when a Yankee team hits status that prompt articles written by dumb and dumber its time for a change. I don't know about anyone else on this board but unless a minor miracle appears the '16 Yankees will be just another team. Couple that up with the fact that Big Sloppi will be honored in '16 per the Brass, a real crock of shit.
Yep. It just may be time for Sanchez.....very soon, which may have made Murphy "expendable" in exchange for a young talented one time first rounder outfielder (Hicks) who has made significant strides at the plate last year batting .307 and .870 OPS vs LHP while "improving" to .235 vs RHP, overall .256/.721, and he's still "learning"... also stole 13/16 bases in 97 games.....with much more room for improvement (of course).....and with more improvement vs RHP, the Yanks will have a pretty good young outfielder making 550K this season. And already an outstanding defender according to his current career stats. 3 errors, 22 assists, .995 fldg% , 6 DP in 243 games - 2.83 R/F per 9 inn which was 60% points better than league average. Please understand that I am NOT saying he is going to be anything close to Mike Trout, although it WOULD be nice, lmao....but just for a little bit of perspective......and of course I realize Trout has played approx 400 more games.....but even if Hicks does slip a bit with more playing time, he should still be an excellent outfielder/CF. I cannot wait for baseball. That being said.............. there are 5 players in Yankee line up who will see the IR sometime during the season. This line up is one of the most fragile in all of baseball.

McCann's only problem is you cannot have him behind the plate all season. The guy clearly hits the wall in a major way. Days off and DH time in the first half is a must or else it's just going to be rinse and repeat.
I really believe Ellsbury, Beltran, Teixeira, A-Roid, Headley will wind up on IR. McCann could. So could Gardner. Didn't even think of the pitchers........... CC, Eovaldi, Tanaka are better than 50-50. But, the guy that belongs on IR is Cashman. Yet, he finds a way to GM with minimal brain cells.
