Now of course, I guess one could say that while the earth is flat, it doesn't mean it doesn't have peaks and valleys, which could then explain why you don't see stuff far away and oh my god....mind blown. the earth IS flat!
There are a lot of cows in Nebraska, and thus, a lot of methane, which is one of the key components of smog.
You could explain how we don't "Fall off the edge" if you were to assume the Earth is flat and connected to space. _____SPACE_______EARTH_______SPACE_____ Still doesn't really make sense from a circumnavigation standpoint. Perhaps we should look at the Bermuda triangle and what affect it plays on tricking us to think the earth is round.
I think you would have to claim that our perception of things such Earth's globe appearance from space would be an illusion because our minds can only perceive it in that way.
If the earth were a ball, we'd be rolling through space. You'd be seeing the sky turn upside down, and that clearly doesn't happen. I rest my case.
