    Hey basketball fans,

The Portland Wheelblazers are hosting the Bridge City Classic wheelchair basketball tournament this weekend. We’ll be taking on teams from around the northwest and would love to see you out there supporting the team. Admission is free (though donations are always appreciated), and kids are welcome. The Junior Wheelblazers will also be playing throughout the weekend.

The tournament will be at Reynolds Middle School: 1200 NE 201st Ave, Fairview, OR 97204. The Wheelblazer games are at 10:30 and 4:30 on Saturday, and 10:30 and 1:30 on Sunday. There will be games going on all weekend. For the full schedule of games or for more information, you can check out the team’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/Wheelblazersbasketball/

Also, we are still looking for a couple more volunteers to help at the score-tables on Saturday. If you or anyone you know may be interested, please click here to sign up: http://vols.pt/TrZPxP

If anyone has any questions, does hesitate to ask. Thanks for your consideration and Go Blazers!!

The Seattle tournament was a bit rough. Our coach quit on us three days before the tournament, and one of our better players had a death in the family and had to fly out for the funeral. But given all the adversity, I'd say we did pretty well. We went 1-3, but two of those losses were fairly close. Our new players have had a lot more time to gel at this point as well, so we're expecting better results this weekend.
