    Re: Who's Next?

Who is the next coach thats going to get fired? All the coaches of the entire Atlantic division have a chance of getting fired sometime. Some teams that arent really good at the moment like Portland and Golden State wont fire thier coaches because A) they are great coaches and [IMG] because they havent had a ton of time to work with. I think already said the obvious about the Atlantic coaches being on the hot seat, but I think there is a sleeper canadate as well. I think if Houston starts to really take a nose dive, Van Gundy is out. I know Yao and T-Mac have been injured a ton as of late, but thats part of the game. I think Cheeks in Phila or Rivers in Boston gets the can before him though, but I wouldnt be suprised by a Van Gundy firing. Your thoughts?

    Re: Who's Next?

I sure hope Mike Brown is the next guy out the door this year.Mike Brown's way of coaching is being a Mr.Nice guy and letting the players do what they want to do. He told us that he tells the players to drive all the time, but they just don't listen. I mean, what kinda COACH tells his players to drive and give up when they don't listen? And where paying this guy to do that? Please, let me do that. I for sure hell can do a better job then he is doing. Another thing is his 0-#. The "new O" he says. Is pretty gay if u ask me.Larry Hughes is not the same as he was with the Wizards because of it. He has Eric Snow driving to the hole and doesn't have James or Hughes. I don't think ANY player can stop LeBron when he drives and when Hughes drives he is a very scary player. MikeMustGo...

My thoughts are that I'm glad I don't have to deal with this in the NBA at least.... I think Rivers will be the next to go if the Celtics continue to struggle. He really seems to be on the hot seat more than anyone else. I thought he did a good job in Orlando but he isn't doing well with the Celtics.

I honestly have no idea, I couldn't even take an educated guess. But I pray to God it's Doc Rivers. His coaching is just getting ridiculous. He hasn't been playing Rondo, he's been playing West hurt, he's been playing Wally (who has shot like 15 for his last 60 or something) over Gerald, who has been playing well, and it seems as if he's just picking names out of a hat, and I'm starting to get sick and tired of it.

The Magic are 19-14 and have a great chance of winning the division.

    Re: Who's Next?

When the Raptors started 0-9 I was so sure they would fire Mitchell, but now since they are doing better I'm sure the coach isn't the problem. It was the players.Either that or Sam Mitchell stepped up. This doesn't have much to do with this thread but I think he's on a fine thread now.

Jeff Van Gundy is a very good coach. If Houston fired him, which they won't, it'd be a HUGE mistake.

And it happens mostly to their 2 best players.

    Re: Who's Next?

Lebron is arguably the best player in the nba ATM. He has Big Z. and Hughes at his side. With the squad that Cavaliers have they should be right there on top with Dallas and Phoenix. I do not think that Mike Brown will be out of the door soon, just because Cavaliers are above the .500 record and Lebron's glory overshadowed the bad coaching. But, in my opinion if the organization wants James to get a ring or two, they need a better coach.Another person that comes to mind is Doc Rivers, he is not the smartest coach in the NBA, thought it is hard to tell that is just my opinion. Yes, he does not have a dominant Center, but he got young guns that could step up and win a game or two. I could see Boston being 19-13 atm if they have a coach who is as good as George Karl, or Avery Johnson.

Hughes responded by scoring 13 of his 18 points in the final quarter."He's very versatile," Brown said. "I play him at the '1,' '2' and '3.' I ask him to run the team. I ask him to score. I have him handle the ball in the pick-and-roll. Defensively, I have him all over the place. Sometimes he guards (shooting guards) or quick (point guards). Larry is fulfilling the role he needs for us to be effective."Now if he was a good coach. Why doesn't he DO THIS? PG-HughesSG-GibsonSF-JamesPF-GoodenC-Big ZThere is nothing wrong with this lineup. E.Snow will still see a lot of time and we only use him for D any way.

And that is what he has been doing.
