Out of context, and not ever their stated objective.

This week, Harney County Fire Marshall Chris Briels resigned after discovering undercover FBI agents posing as militia members near the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, which has been the site of a standoff for weeks now. According to Briels, he found FBI agents who were impersonating militia members lurking around the town’s armory. When he inquired about the undercover operation with county Judge Steve Grasty he was told to back off.

Just before this discovery was made, there were reports of people who looked like militia harassing locals, which is uncharacteristic of the protesters who initially assembled at the refuge. It turns out that these militia members suspected of harassing locals were actually undercover FBI agents.

I don't see the issue with come join the cause. Occupy Wall Street did it, so did the million man march on DC. It's as American as apple pie.

    THAT'S such a load...

No one was armed at the Million Man March. No one was armed during occupy wall street. No one used firearms to commandeer federal property.

Lots of people were arrested though.

You all seem to think these muthafuckas didn't even deserve that.

    White Privilege at it's finest.

FBI Agents Weren't Posing as Militia, Ex-Fire Chief Clarifies

An allegation that undercover FBI agents were caught posing as militia members in southeast Oregon splashed around the Internet this week, but the story’s purported source says he made no such claim.

Chris Briels, who recently resigned his position as Harney County fire chief, says Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, whose Wednesday press release sparked concern about a throwback to FBI infiltration and dirty tricks against activists, must have misunderstood him.

Fiore’s release said Briels had determined “men posing as ‘militia’ were the FBI.” Briels tells U.S. News he did indeed catch undercover FBI agents in small-town Burns, near where armed protesters are occupying a federal wildlife refuge, but that they were not posing as militia.

“They weren’t posing as anything other than dishonest people,” he says. “They were perceived as militia by the locals, but they weren’t posing out there with a shirt that said ‘I’m militia.’”

The refuge takeover that began Jan. 2 has strained Briels’ friendships in small-town Burns, prompting him to keep an eye out for trouble. He serves on a committee set up by activists, and a friend suggested he investigate strangers assumed to be militiamen near a vacant National Guard armory.

The people he found at the armory drove off in three vehicles, one of which he followed to a nearby McDonald’s. Two men in the black SUV identified themselves as businessmen named “Chuck” and “Mike” who were looking to open shop in the town, an explanation Briels refused to accept.

Briels called local authorities, who he says arrived later to the scene. A sheriff’s deputy, he says, took a phone call and then explained the men were undercover FBI agents.

Though Briels has poured cold water on the tale attributed to him, the FBI’s Portland field office would not address whether or not undercover agents are being used to address the refuge occupiers, who have invited ranchers’ rights supporters from across the country to join them.

Police shouldn't have been within miles of the guy.

    It was an execution.

I didn't see anything in there about the tri-lateral commission or WTC7, so I suspect you need a better source.

Complete press conference. At about 8:00 in, he tells how he followed two suspicious men from the armory and stopped them. Running the car's plates, he found they were undercover FBI. He was told by his superiors these guys were militia ("what are your guys up to at the armory.")

"But I doubt even new control will fix the problem since the cop did nothing wrong. Police policy has to change some in the black community until they begin to teach young men not to charge a cop, an acknowledge that a persons rights come from the creator, not to be taken from you by a mere policeman, so there is no reason to fear the cop in your neighborhood.

But until that day comes then the police need to refrain from injecting themselves into a situation where they are liking to be goaded into using deadly force against a lad big and bad, out to show it. A number of police will do the trick at the critical moment rather than one vulnerable looking little white guy with a badge. And for goodness sake not a little Korean cop."

I know I posted the same thought other times, at least once even more clearly( can't easily find though). Notice here I am speaking of the copy shooting the Brown kid. While he did no wrong by police policies and procedure I think they are incorrect. The police should not be provoking the confrontation and ending up using deadly force. Black in this case, White yesterday.

    Apology
    please.

Complain about the source some more. Is that or is that not the fire chief?

You said the police should've been nowhere near him.

Well how the hell do they take him in custody then?

So either you believe he should've been arrested or you don't.
