And it tastes SOOO good. This First Place Birthday Cake with Chris Boucher plastic ornament "SWAT style" and Casey Benson "no turnover" filling.

Ohhh! Too bad NOBODY but us Duck fans are at this party. The Bald Face Dickhead and the Oregonian got aboard the Wayne Tinkle Express. Choo Choo! All aboard for 10th place!

Guess Altman and Transfer U are working out just fine....

I'm only tooting my horn because the local press a shitty job covering the Ducks and acted like Tinkle was the second coming of Ralph Miller. If they had given two shits and even bothered to cover most away games, I wouldn't hold a grudge. Instead they run articles about the Ducks' lack of attendance and fan disconnection, while holding up the Beavs like prefered siblings. Revenge is sweet.

What revenge? It's called expectations. Beavers have been terrible since Ralph miller. Tinkle has brought hope to bringing the team around. He surprised everybody last year with the worst roster in the Pac 12. His team this year is basically Payton (stud) with three highly touted freshman that are learning to play the game. With his recruiting being awesome and the young guys improving, everyone is willing to give him a couple years to see what he has.

Altman has substantially higher expectations and currently is living up to them this year. Just because the bald one doesnt tell you so shows how childish ducks fans can be by saying "revenge is sweet"

I'm going to see them play Colorado this week at home..haven't seen a Duck basketball game since Ernie Kent was coach so I'm looking forward to it

Hey if Tinkle gets his team to a NCAA birth in the next couple of years.... then it will have been justified. But I still think the press is bias. If Altman had accomplished this in any other state, they'd have a bronze statue outside.

Accomplished what? Ernie Kent got them to the elite 8. Where is his statue?

Hmmm..... I think they wanted to put one up actually, but Mike Belotti had a problem with it. [emoji13]

It kind of belongs to Luke Ridnour, Luke Jackson and Fred Jones..without that big 3...Kent fizzled out
My bad, Kent took them to TWO elite eights. Once with the guys above, and once with Aaron brooks, Bryce Taylor, Malik hairston, maarty leunen and tajuan porter.

Don't be greedy ducks fans. Kent did well even if most of you hated him.

I liked the Kamakazi Kid Kent...I thought he was a great coach but I was not an Aaron Brooks fan...guy was a tool..I really liked Maarty Leunen and never understood why he didn't play more minutes.

I liked Aaron brooks and really rooted for Freddie Jones. I went to Reynolds high school which is in the same conference as Barlow where Freddie went to high school. Went and watched him play a few times in high school and it was pretty awesome seeing him win the dunk contest.

I was once a duck fan, until I went to school at osu. And eventually couldn't stand them coming into Corvallis and acting like entitled dicks

Tajuan Porter... Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. That elite 8 team when he was a freshmen was amazing. Played the eventual champion Florida very well.

I will say one thing. It has been hard for me too follow the Ducks the past couple of years. The rape scandal and the way it was handled was disgraceful. Altman's got only himself to blame for that. But I really like this team. Brooks, Benson, Boucher, and all. You've got to accept Matt Court at some point and go see them. Parking is a bitch, but I like the place. (Court is still weird though)

Aaron Brooks was suspended for fighting, throughout his career has clashed with coaches and players..got suspended for refusing to enter a game in the NBA.
Went to China and a really old Stephon Marbury scored 50 pts against him in the Chinese finals..there's a reason he doesn't stick with a team for a guy with his talent..he's a headcase. My son went to OSU and that's when I stopped following the Ducks...this week I'm going to see them for the first time since they got the new arena. I've only been to Mathew Knight arena to see the Globetrotters last year. Nice venue, but I'm not a fan of the pine trees on the wood that make it look like the finish is wearing out

He was very fun to watch play too. Always liked the connection hairston and porter had coming from the same high school.

Bryce Taylor was ridiculously efficient. I think I remember him going like 100% from the field one game in the Pac 10 tourney

This is why people don't like duck fans.

Out of curiosity, which fans do you like?

I don't care for the fans of my rivals. Huskies, Seahawks, Rockets, Lakers.... if one of my teams have played them in a high stakes game, I tend to not like them.

Beaver fans would probably be annoying if they could beat the Ducks.... :devilwink:

Hairston puzzled me...D league MVP with the Toros and couldn't get a gig in the pros...I think he played in Europe for awhile. Leunen as well..he's playing in Europe..some team just traded for his rights..might have been the Clippers trade with Houston.

If I'm not mistaken, the Beavers beat the Ducks this season once

That's the thing though. I grew up a ducks fan. Went to osu completely still rooting for the ducks. Even rooted for them when Dennis Dixon was balling before he blew his knee. But eventually they got to me and I saw the asshole way of the majority of the fans.

Think of it this way. Duck fans call beaver fans "little bro" just like Seattle calls Portland "little bro"

I fucking hate them both.

I actually don't mind the Lakers. I hate the twolves, spurs (that's solely on aldridges shoulders, used to love them with Robinson, Duncan, Rodman, Elliot etc.), sounders, Seahawks, and the majority of ducks fans (the bandwagoners, if you don't call beavers little bro, we can talk about the ducks all you want as I've followed them since I was a kid)

Now that I understand.

Was a fun team to watch, it seems like NCAA doesn't have the magic it once did. Just dominated by one and done super teams and the occasional veteran group.

Saw him playing in the D league a while ago. He's still Mighty Mouse. Jacking up 3's from downtown.

God I hate the Ducks! At least we smoked them in our first game. We have been disappointing so far, but I still have hope we can turn it around.

I've never hated the Beavs, but it just hasn't really been a rivalry for a long time. I can't remember the last time they beat the Duck football team. The Simonton era? I imagine if the Beavs started consistently beating Oregon, or making it interesting, the rivalry would heat up again and the smug attitude would diminish, or at least be replaced by a pure hatred. That's how it's supposed to be. The kind of hatred that existed between the Huskies and Duck fans. It's not supposed to be a smug, condescending attitude, which is what it currently is.

I live in Lane County and what puts me off about the Ducks is mostly the rabid fans...I was watching a Ducks game at a party once and people got so angry over something like an offside call that went against them, although the score was like 61 - 7 at the time....really poor sportsmanship...tried to talk about the Beavers baseball coach Casey and it was like an angry mob turning on me....really some crazy fans...I support all Oregon sports franchises across the board, but the Ducks fans are the worst snobs I've hung around

Fans complaining about a bad call!?!?! Inconceivable! :devilwink:
