I think Vonleh will be a fine player. Not soldon him being a high scorer yet though

Look at his growth month over month (Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan) - these are per game:

You keep CJ and Dame, and he only needs to be 3rd banana.

I don't know that the stats tell the story. From what you show, it looks like he gets (earns!) a few more minutes and his other numbers go up accordingly.

The key difference I see is that he's not looking like a deer in the headlights out there anymore. I would almost consider playing him at the end of games as well as starting him.

The +/- is the big stat in that pic, imho. It backs up the eye test: he's fitting, getting minutes with positive outcome, and building up a positive feedback loop.

I want to say he got real minutes in the 4th against Minny.. but I can't remember.

Yeah, but I want that 3rd banana to be elite. Think what we thought oden, Aldridge and Roy could Be.

That CJ, Dame, and Vonleh are all walking on two legs tells me we've already won.

That said, 3rd banana for that team was about 15-18PPG, 6-8RPG. I think Vonleh can get there, but give it two years.

Olshey is our bargain basement warrior. Some people are buying high priced TV's that get all the channels. We've got the stand alone units that you turn to channel 3 and plug in the cable box. But hell, it saved us a bunch of dough and does the same job!

Yeah I don't see it out of the possibility he averages 15 ppg. I just want him to be able to score in a variety if ways. as in people pay a decent amount of attention to him downlow in order to open things a little for the guards

I just want our bigs getting double doubles consistently...they don't need to score 20 a game. I'm glad we've shifted from the power forward based offense

I have no issues with shifting from a power forward based offense. But it opens up a lot for the guards if teams have to pay attention to a respected scorer from a big position.

Which is a reason I'd like brook Lopez if his foot injuries were past him.

It seems to me that Brooklyn had Lopez, Williams, Garnett and Joe Johnson and failed miserably...Lopez did not make a huge difference on that team while Mason cut his teeth playing big minutes due to his injury..he's got chronic injury issues every year. I don't see him as a good fit here. He's a shooter for sure. Not really a rim protector

Considering at the time that all the others you mentioned (Williams, Johnson, garnett) were past their prime... so, of course it failed miserably.

There are so many things wrong in this post I don't even know where to begin. I guess I'll start from the top. He's averaging 16, 6, and 5 on the same percentages as Aminu who's averaging 10 and 6.5. They're rebounds are almost identical. Batum is also a better defender. You're crediting Aminu in a game that LeBron obviously tanked cuz he was mad at Blatt. Plus, the cap is rising 20-25%, not 50%, so it's not the equivalent of $4M a year.

If you look at Batum's season in Charlotte though, he started hot and fizzled a month before the allstar break...something he's done the last two seasons with Portland...Aminu is getting better, Nic is starting to get lazy

defense and double doubles...have you watched him progress this season or maybe you just don't like the guy? Stotts credits his defense in almost every post game interview but I guess like me...Stotts is a homer
