I admit I didn't read the links but is Durant getting traded after the All Star break? But yeah I was just trolling you. Now that I know you get super defensive about minor shit I'll make sure and amp up the sarcasm.
Yeah; theres so many factors involved in a player winning a ring of which only 1 part is their actual play. In my opinion Barkley was better than Kobe ever was but never had near as good of teammates. Kobe had one of the most physically dominant players in history and then for his last two titles the top front court in the league; all with one of the best coaches ever. Fans bitch about players building super teams but then discount players without rings as failures. 97% of NBA teams don't win a title each year.
I would be very curious to see it play out. There is only one ball for Steph, Klay and Durant. Not to mention Draymond is effective with a significant offensive role. I don't think Steph is shooting as much with Durant there. Of course in theory many will say they'll both get better looks. Maybe so; but it would be a huge adjustment. How good would their defense be with Durant instead of Iggy? The guy won finals MVP and made life very difficult for LeBron. If Durant is in there LeBron is a completely different player on offense and who knows how much that benefits his Cleveland teammates. The Warriors would also lose a 3 and D wing in Barnes and a great backup center with one of Ezeli/Bogut having to be cut. In a vacuum of course Durant is far superior to Iggy. But when the Warriors are having record setting achievements and a title favorite a big change has the potential to hurt as much as help.
