Parsons and his knee/injury issues is a huge red flag IMO. Look at the stupid contract Dallas gave Wes - he's shooting 38% overall, 34.5% from 3 and avg 12.5 pts - terrible performance for the deal he got
17 a night is not a new MAX guy. I only said yes to Parsons because I think he can get 19.5 to 20 a night for us if given the chance. Maybe Barnes can do that too but if not then it is a BIG mistake to pay him like an All-Star if he can't get there. Nate posted where Parsons has been putting up 20 and 7 and 5 in the last 15 games. Of course you check out his knee but you can already see he is a better player than Wes just by watching them on the court. He didn't have a catostrophic injury like Wes. I agree no Wes injuries. This isn't the same deal imo.
If Barnes put up 17/5/3 on .475/.400/.880 with Dame and CJ both being 20+ per game scorers, he would be worth every penny.
Would you pay Danilo Gallinari super Max if he was available this summer? That is almost exactly the line he is putting up this year (Danilo is doing a bit more points, slightly more rebounds and slightly less assists).
No. Anderson can't play sf like those other two guys. And both of those guys are better at basically ever part of the game except shooting. But Parsons is a good shooter in his own right
Parsons had a supposed "minor microfracture" knee procedure May 1 that they didn't disclose for FIVE months - hmmm, that's a big enough red flag for me
That is one thing I like about Vonleh, he seems to moves pretty well laterally. Not a lot of bigs over 240 do. I think Plums has average lateral quickness. It's not horrible compared to other centers.
RR7 is a pretty smart guy. However, I'm pretty sure the amount of his buyout would count against the cap for the year. I think they calculate as of end of season to see who pays the LT, etc.
