Victor Claver was getting paid 3mil per to ride the pine. Diaz isn't being paid by us. Also, he's younger than Victor.

 

Clavier was a first round pick; Diez was the 54th pick taken after Jon Diebler, Ha Seung-Jin, Nedzad Sinanovic and Boumtje-Boumtje. I wouldn't want to sign Clavier for the minimum but he's still better. Diez is an inferior prospect to whoever we have to cut in training camp yet since he is a euro stash he got selected in the draft ahead of the Cliff Alexander, Luis Montero types.

 

Who gives a shit, I doubt Diez ever plays in a blazer uniform and if he does its garbage time.

Meanwhile, Dani Diez continues to contribute much less to Unicaja than the magnificently named Mindaugas Kuzminskas.

 

Victor does have the Euroleague MVP of the month on his team, though, so there's that.
