Mavsfan, that was definitely a charge on Parker. That was a terrible call. After Bowen missed the 3, and Oberto got the rebound, Howard foulded him right across the arm to get the ball free. At least thats what it looked like...
We did a good job blocking the passing lanes off Duncan in the second half, thats the reason we won imo.
Dirk was on fire. That's one of the best games I've seen Dirk play this year. Wow he was making whatever shots he can get ahold of. Amazing game.
well it's official, I tried denying it, and lie to myself, but it's time to just face the facts, the spurs are just way to damn old, we can no longer finish games...we are no longer on the mavs or suns level, the tide has changed and the spurs are officially done as a legit contender......we need to make some serious changes, just tear this team apart, no one should be safe except tim duncan cause he is still the heart and soul of this teamfrenchy has to go, he is now a me me type of player.....him going to the all star last year was the worse thing to happen, his ego is just blown up so much, and is now a I'm going to score first and then I'll pass type of playerI love manu, but he's getting old, and we might as well trade him while he still has very good valuefinley is now joined the likes of shaq as washed uphorry he needs to just be cut, wish we could trade himfab was a mistake to bring in, sure he had 14 points but so what, he's still old and isn't worth itI like elson so I want him to staybeno has to go, pop has pretty much ruined his careerit's time to just start all overcongrats mavs on officially taking over texas.......don't choke it away again
Well, we arent going to have to wait for too long until our roster is small considering after next season, our only 3 guys under contract are going to be Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker.I dont know why you would bash Ginobili after the game that he had tonight. He played amazing. I agree with you about Parker in the sense that his ego has gotten to big, but no way should the Spurs trade him. He is under 25 years of age, and he is already a top 5-7 point guard in the league. He is just going to get better so there is no need to trade him. I am all for getting rid of Finley and Horry though. I am sick and tired of them....
can you tell me were I bashed manu....I couldn't sworn I said I love him........I'm thinking about the future with that post, it doesn't matter how good game he had tonight, it still doesn't change that fact that he's old, and his style of play has already taken about 3 years off his career.....parker right now shouldn't even be considered a point guard, how in the hell does a starting point guard avg. under 6 assist?? he is a shooting guard that is playing the 1 right now.....so therefore he is not a top point guard in this league

I'm glad Avery took Stackhouse out of the game in the second half. Avery though is pretty much given the keys to a championship level team so he just needs to get them to reach their potential. I guess Harris proved you wrong. Mr. Harris is not ready yet.

I still think Stack is a bigger part of this team than you do...but like I said, I wouldn't mind getting a younger guy with fresher knees coming off the bench.

Harris can't hit a jumper consistently but he can find Buckner and George for 3's. Anyways they bring what Stackhouse doesn't. Defense, rebounding, and hustle. Dallas is 7-1 this year without Stackhouse and if you count the second half comeback without Stackhouse than they are 8-1.
^Yeah, but I still can't turn on a Mavs game, when Stack plays, when he doesn't step up at least some what and hits some shots for them...When will you realize that the Mavs are good because they have all these players...not IN SPITE of Stack.
When Stackhouse is on a brick fest he is hurting this team. He doesn't do anything in any other categories. Stackhouse is a one dimensional players that is basically a volume shooter. Since we got 4 players that make plays we don't need Stackhouse on this team. The only player I would put Stackhouse ahead of is Anthony Johnson. Both aren't needed on this team unless injuries occur. Right now this team is too good for one player to lose it for us.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Anyways they bring what Stackhouse doesn't. Defense, rebounding, and hustle.</div>I disagree on the hustle part. Stack does hustle on the court. But depending on the situation, I would play him over Buckner. Not George. But if it's a defensive assignment, then I would go with Buck. I cringe every time Buck handles the ball. I think he has the worst handles of all the guards. Also, when did Buck rebound better? I think both him and Stack are even in that cat.
Well Stackhouse and Buckner are very close. I like Buckner because he doesn't need the ball and we got enough one on one players (Harris, Terry, Howard, and Dirk) which allows Buckner to play to his strengths which is defense and diving for loose balls. Also an occasional 3 or inside shot. Stackhouse doesn't have the athleticism at this point in his career to do the things Buckner does.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Stackhouse doesn't have the athleticism at this point in his career to do the things Buckner does.</div>That's true about Stack and closing in on Buck. I would like to see us either look at another 2 or draft one next offseason. I don't see Buck lasting the 3 years on his contract and I feel Moe Ager would benefit from some competition.
See, if Mo Ager comes up and makes a big jump from year one to year two...like Harris and Howard did, then we'll be fine without Stack, as the seem alot alike to me.But then again, both Harris and Howard played alot of minutes in the NBA...not the D-League, so I think you're right Rok, we should probably get a more well known backup 2 guard.
