    If they picked up Uribe it wouldn't be to back up Teixeira as the guy has never played 1st base. It would be to back up Headley at 3rd so that Headley could back up Teixeira when needed.

    And IMO unless there's an injury, you in all likelihood won't be seeing Judge & Refsnyder until September 1st.

    ...lmao...the season has not even began and I see it's time for the "ignore' feature already.

    ...no problem...hey, I gave it a try...should have known better.

    ...hello Al...how goes it?

    ...and you're right, agents have made a history of throwing the Yanx name out there with hopes of inflating the market...just the mere mentions of the Yanx, who have a habit of over paying and/or over extending players, can influence what a player ends up getting when other teams "think" they are bidding against the Yanx, whether they truly are or not.

    Exactly, in the case of Uribe.
    As for Refsnyder, I think the Yanks may still have plans for him as a role player. We'll see how things shake out....and Judge could get an early call if/when Arod goes down with injury/old age and the Yanks possibly move in Beltran for primary DH duty.

    Gotta think like a MGR. AND a GM.

    ...Headley subbing for Tex, Uribe subbing for Headley ?...as weak as the IF defense may already have been, those 2 moves would weaken the Yanx defense at both 3B and 1B.

    ...still don't see why the Yanx would make a knee jerk move for someone like Uribe...Bird was only a backup 1Bman anyway...no need to make an move to replace him at this point...besides, San Fran has been in touch with Uribe and his asking price is too high...why would the Yanx want another bloated contract for a player they may not even need?

    Does this mean you don't want me to post Castro's HOME/AWAY splits?
    Or it isn't possible the Yanks could get better overall offensive production from the combination of Ellsbury, Gardy,Hicks, Beltran, Castro, Headley possibly Sanchez as compared to last year in the event Tex and/or Arod tail off?....as you previously mentioned elsewhere...
    And it remains to be seen how Castro handles 2b.....just keep in mind the Yanks won a WS with Mariano Duncan at 2b.

    Let's try and agree on one thing - it's obvious (imo) you find fault with every move and fart Cashman makes, and if one poster (me) occasionally feels as if a particular criticism of a move or trade by the GM isn't fair or warranted, I am not out of line if I choose to point it out.
    Jeez, you're getting your shorts all twisted because ONE poster occasionally disagrees with you on a particular matter....you may have also noticed (if you care), I have also AGREED or NOT disagreed on plenty of your comments or replies.

    And I have DISAGREED with Cashman's Wilson trade.

    Nobody is questioning your manhood or IQ.

    We can make this work ...lol........ I respect your right to your opinions and I hope you can somehow tolerate my opinions....and I still enjoy and respect conversing with you.

    I don't know why SF would be interested in re-aquiring him they currently have one of the youngest & most talented infields in all of baseball.

    1B = Belt / Posey
    2B = Panik
    SS = Crawford
    3B = Duffy (runner up ROY)

    Al I just hope one or both of them can remember how to steal a damn base. Seems like the 2nd half of the season they both just decided to stop running.
