That sucks

Have you seen much of Thaddeus? Do you think he could play PF for us, DraftExpress has him listed as a SF/PF? NBADraft has him going at 18 and DraftExpress has him falling to 20, I rember him being higher the past couple weeks, any idea why he is falling? I like what I read about him.

Thaddeus is a freak athlete with loads of potential. He could (and I think he will) end up being the second best scorer out of this draft behind Durant 4-6 years down the road, IMO. Still only 19 years old, too. I think he could play PF at times, but not a whole lot, if at all. He measured in at 6'7 1/2 at the combine, with shoes, so he's barely taller than RJ. He only weighs 210. So basically, if we do draft him, RJ would probably end up playing some PF if we went with a smaller lineup of Kidd/Carter/Young/RJ/Krstic or something. He's far better suited to be a SF, IMO, just because he's so athletic and quick. Much better suited to be a wing player, and I think he plays that way too. He'll end up being more of a 2/3 throughout his career. Defensively, I don't know much about him, and I never really paid much attention to his defense when I saw GT games, but I know he's quite long, and with his speed, he could probably defend quite well on the perimeter. In the post though, I can't imagine he'd do too well defensively at all, considering his weight. Smart kid, too. Has a good head on his shoulders.

    That's my take on Thaddeus.

He's my number one draft choice right now, because of his potential and age.

Another point about Thaddeus, is that if he's still on the board when we pick, and we don't select him, I can't seem him falling past GS at #18. He'd be perfect there.

I'd go Julian over Thaddeus, I'm just not a big Thaddeus fan, other than his name is Thaddeus, while I love JWright. And Thaddeus ain't no PF, a SF all the way. And I'm going to the Mets game Thursday, so unless it rains out, I'mma miss the draft too...recording it to watch as soon as I get home though.

Don't know much about him. I know he did pretty bad at the T'Wolves Draft Workout though. He was there with T. Young, Thornton, and Brewer, and was supposedly the clear worst of the bunch. (Thornton impressed the most, followed by Young, then followed by Brewer). Supposedly, he had trouble dribbling and handling the ball and couldn't drive to the hoop that well, contrary to what nbadraft.net has in their profile of him. Can't shoot at all, from what I've heard. Overall, I'm not impressed at all with him, but then again, I don't know much about him.

Also, I'm not the biggest draft guru out there, so don't take my opinions as complete truth.

A buddy of mine goes to Georgia Tech and he raves about him. I've been reading up as much as I could and based on that and some videos I think the guy is going to be a great player. He's definetly not ready though.

At the very least he would be a valuable trading chip if we want to acquire someone, like Gerald Green is a trading asset based on potential for Boston.

Chad Ford said Tiago may slip to the 2nd round, I doubt it but if I was Thorn I would beon the phone trying to trade down.

Wright is a Boris Diaw type. Great passer, good defender on the perimeter, very very long arms, lanky bastard. Has a broke shot though. His handling seemed to be ok during the year, but who knows with these workouts. I'm a big fan of Julian.

And I always take your opinion with a grain of salt JCB.
