Usually when these things happen and inflammatory comments from glass about it follow like he'll answer for it sunday nothing will happen. I'm sure both refs will be speaking to both teams beforehand and threatening all types of penalties if anything happens. Most likely this will be taken care of down the road

And this is exactly what's wrong with the "new" NHL. Dirty players do dirty things and NOTHING happens and then if/when something does happen the NHL goes after the retaliation and not the initial dirty play. Happened earlier this year against Boston and now is likely to happen again against Philly on Sunday. I'd be more in favor of Glass basically telling the refs "f off" and take care of Simmons (dirty or clean, don't really care or matter to me), and let the chips fall where they may instead of McIlrath and him getting a game misconduct and/or a suspension from this pussy ass NHL. Just my two cents though.

Knowing Simmonds I think he will be a more than willing participant in a challenge from Glass. Probably not right off the bat though. McIlrath is too far out of his weight class.

I would tend to agree. They're usually told before hand that any nonsense will me met with heavy fines or suspensions so you tend to see a very tame affair.

And comments like this brings the sport down a notch....best way is to beat them hit him as much as possible legally.
Proven over and over there are always going to be asshats in the game, they wont change the way they play in fear or retaliation.

It brings the sport up a notch Al! It gets the boys fired up. I want Flyers getting taken off the ice on a stretcher on Sunday

Did any of you, who want a blood bath on ice, know
that this talk will actually take the Rangers off their
game...........the one thing I want is a win.
Keep hitting the SOB.............he will lose control
    as he usually does.

The real culprit is the NHL. Its spineless ignorance
may create havoc Sunday night.....and they will
penalize the players to the hilt.....because of their
    stupidity.

Oh, BTW.........there is a very important game
this Friday.......the LA Kings will be coming to
MSG to show their dominance over the injury-
    riddled Rangers.

It's all about the points........battled starved fans!
