...says "this is the best I've felt in 3 years".

...how many times have we heard this sort of thing?...not only from CC, but others as well?

...but hey, we've only got 2 more years of this.

The Yankees LHP, who spent a month in a rehab facility in October to battle an alcohol problem, is feeling strong as pitchers and catchers approaches, telling the New York Post: "I feel the best I have in three years. I am excited to get to Tampa with a clear head and a healthy body."

Saw that crock of shit. I'm still pissed that no one in the organization has the sack to replace him in last years rotation. In light of his performance the Yankees didn't lose anything when he skipped out before the playoffs.

I wonder how much rope Girardi is going to give him this year if he continues his downward slide.

...^^^ and remember a couple of years ago when he dropped a lot of weight and proclaimed himself as being such great shape during spring training?...and then proceeded to go out and suck for the rest of the year?

...Cashman is now telling us that he won't have any problem telling CC he'll be relegated to the pen if he doesn't earn a starting job...gee Brian, when did you suddenly grow a set of balls and have this epiphany?...haven't you been paying attention?...CC has been sucking for 3 years now.

That's another thing that bothers the shit out of me about the Yankees & Girardi, it seems like any time there's news on the Yankees Cashman is the one making all the decisions, Who starts, who's playing, who the closer is etc. Can you imagine Billy Martin being told who to play & where? All these years I thought it was the managers job to make ALL the on field decisions.

Maybe Girardi isn't that smart and Cashman doesn't trust him. :bgrin:

...within the Yankee hierarchy, who knows who is responsible for what?...I think we're still years away from seeing the Yanx dominate like they once did.

its going to be a very long two years...

and I feel the same, its going to quit awhile before we can even begin to think of any Yankee Dynasty, let alone a W.S. Ring or 2 or 5....

I'd almost be sure that the strings are being pulled above field management level. Don't know why Girardi would put up with it. And yeah Steinbrenner made more than one or two calls to Martins dugout but Billy had scrap. Could you imagine CC coming to Martin and saying "Yo Skip, I got to ditch the playoffs cause I booze to much" Martin would have fired his ass up good. I've supported Girardi from game one '08 but as Hank Williams once sang "the hide's gettin' scaced. Time for Joe to grab someone by the stacking swivel and say my way or the highway.

Maybe a sober Sabathia can surprise us all. I'm glad he got himself together and hopefully he never goes down that road again.

...unfortunately, the sad truth is that rehab fails more often than not.

Mr. (used loosely) Matthews was commenting on CC or Nova for spot number 5 claiming that Big Mans Salary would be left out of the loop. As we all remember last season no one had the sack to demote Big Man and unless things change history will repeat itself. His comment about Cashman always taking the 25 best up north we all know is a joke given this teams poor performance and failure to shed itself of the yearly bums. The bag marked 28 is chock full of holes.

So wait, we've got Eovaldi, Pineda, Tanaka, CC & Nova. What the hell about Severino?
