Any iPad Pro owners out there? Any of you guys make the jump?

I currently have a used iPad, 1st generation. Only thing it is still useful for is playing movies on the plane or reading books. My magazine subscriptions won't work on it because the OS is so old and can't update any further.

I don't gamble. Don't go out to clubs. Go out to have drinks probably once every 6 months. My only vice or thing I spend money on besides my bills and family is shoes or music/movies.

So I was shocked when The Mrs HCP gave me the green light to get a new one. I can get an amazing discount thru a friend and it made the Pro not much more than the regular iPad Air 2.

Just wondering who if any out there has one and what they thought. Thank you nerds! Screen Shot 2016-02-10 at 10.46.47 AM.png

Are those the large ones? I like the more compact option.

Good grief..... $950? For $950 I could buy a 42" tv and a playstation for my office. For $950 I could build a bitching computer.

But none of those things are Apple products so they are actually worthless!

I have one. I paid $799 for the lowest end one. Nothing fancy.

It's just a big iPad to me. I wanted a portable TV, basically. It's good for that. Fitting into luggage and laptop bags, not so much.

I've not come close to running out of space on it.

    It is really fast.

I got a Macbook air and it kind of supplanted my iPad. I don't think I've turned my iPad on in a month.

Yeah, its worth $150 to quadruple the space on it for most people though, especially if you're downloading movies which are like 4 or 5 gb each.

I personally love my ipad for casual browsing. Usually on the couch, in bed, etc.

I was looking to see if I'd like a bigger one though for reading magazines which I heard is pretty good. Was also looking to use it for meetings and business stuff but not sure.

I like the big factor of the ipad pro so I can run small group presentations on it if needed. I was actually looking at the Samsung Galaxy View as well but its way too fucking heavy.

I was following the discussion of a few Apple fans about how the newer OS systems have been a huge letdown. Now that the Apple Messiah is gone, how long before they run Apple into the ground, like they did the first time?

I am getting the 128g Space Grey wifi

    Should be $950........HCP Special $799

I read a great article last night that was for people suffering from iPad pro guilt. People that feel they really NEED a 13 in iPad. But said, to look at it like your home theatre to take with you on the road. Obviously I don't NEED one, but am pumped to watch movies and read on that glorious retina screen

Then you'd have to buy a van to haul it around in...but HCP already has a van!

I find once you spend the money on something like this, you don't really regret. You just forget about it. I mean for a road warrior its pretty great, as long as it fits in your backpack easily.
