WTH is with the Chinese characters

    also i think you could be right about then NBA ditching teh 'world' part of the title, probably due to the obvious bs part of it, and rise of basketball globally, and the tag of world champs legitimately falling to FIBA champs

    the most recent banners do say NBA Champs etc, last one if could find a pic of was the 07-08 Boston banner that said world champs. or that could jsut be boston being boston

    It's Chinese New Year. It was Monday but celebrations last for over a week. There is a sizable Chinese population in Houston. I think it's a nice gesture.

    I see it more as a merchandising opportunity than a "nice gesture". Houston has a ton of Chinese fans and they are all going to want to buy these. That's why they did it.

    I thought the whole NBA was doing it. I'd like to see a Chinese Blazers jersey.
