Right now my main man Maurice 'Shmo' Williams is averaging 17.8ppg, 6.4 apg, 5.5 rpg, 1.2 spg and is shooting 46% from the field. This guy is getting no attention from NBA fans. He's really improved from last season, sure his numbers are up because of his minutes being up but his play on the court is noticeably better. His perimeter defense has improved from last year as well. The guy is quick as hell and makes the TJ Ford trade easier to handle. This guy needed some attention.
I agree man. I have always been a fan of Mo Williams. I dont view him as a guy that is that much worse than Ford what so ever. He has a great overall game on both ends of the floor and he is one of the best rebounding PG's in the leauge. This makes the Bucks GM look like a genius IMO, because they still have a PG that is just as good as Ford IMO, AND they got a rising star in C Ville.
Yeah, Mo's really gone un-noticed this season in the shaddow of Michael Redd. He's putting up Jason Kidd type numbers. Ford was great, but no one expected Mo to out do him. Looks like you guys have solidified that backcourt at least for many years to come.
Yeah, this guy is a baller. He's torched the Wizards so many times, him and Michael Redd are so deadly from the perimeter.
What people don't realize is that 2 seasons ago, when T.J. Ford was out, Mo Williams stepped in and produced really well. He was running the offense at a fair pace for a young player and he has, of course, always had that jumper. He had a really good season off the bench last year, although he did miss about 20 games (correct me if I'm wrong). But he has gotten better since then, and of course he has all the minutes at the point guard spot. I don't think him producing is a surprise, but he really is having an excellent season. He may not be quite as good a playmaker as T.J. Ford is, but he's not all that far off. He has been playing under some excellent control, he's running the offense very well, and he is shooting the ball at a great mark (as usual). Those rebounding numbers really surprised me though, BCB. I had no idea he was getting 5.5 rebounds per game as well, damn. I traded this guy in fantasy early in the season, and looking at that rebounding stat - I'm not happy about that trade lol.BCB, my question to you is do you think the Bucks should still go after a point guard this summer like they said they would? I mean, a better backup is necessary at the very least, but they were talking about trying to go after a bigger name at the position. Do you think that they should do that still, and bring Mo off the bench? Or do you think they should focus on getting a better backup? I know what I think about the situation, but I want to know what you think about it, as a Bucks fan.
I noticed him recently and I think he's the key reason that the Bucks have started their run for the better. Sure Micheal Redd, but he's been playing pretty consistently like that the entire year. I actually love this guy's game, part of the reason I took him in the fourth round of the Sim league.
I don't follow the Bucks closely at all or anything but hasn't he also had his fair share of game winners throughout his career to go along with his good all around numbers?
Letting Mo go was a huge mistake on the Jazz's part, I wish they could get him back because him and D-Will would be killer.
I always liked Mo and knew it would be only a matter of time before he was turned loose. He's really playing very well now that he's getting his shot to play.

We NEED to get 2 of them back, preferably Mo and Charlie. Charlie can play PG, SG and even SF because he's our best defender even at 6'2" 195. Charlie Bell's versatility is huge for our backcourt...and obviously Mo Williams has to be resigned if we want to stay competitive, we need to stick to resigning our guys, if we can't...oh lord are we screwed.
There is a possibility that Billups goes to Milwuakee...I'd be pissed, but I'd live. The Bucks wouldn't need Mo Williams then. The Pistons would.

Charlie Bell though, is more of a scoring combo guard than a PG that can run the offense. I think a new backup PG is needed in Milwaukee, as well as an inside presence. I'm not 100% sure of who all the free agent point guards for this summer, but like you said, no way Billups leaves Detroit for Milwaukee. In the draft, though, if you guys could make a deal to get a draft pick between 18-25, I think Acie Law would be an excellent fit in Milwaukee.
I have always been a big fan of Maurice Williams. It's amazing how many people forget he exists. He is the most underrated player in basketball right now. He's a good scorer, has good court vision, decent defender, he's the energizer bunny on the court.
His point guard skills have improved so much since his days in Utah. I really think moving TJ Ford has helped the Bucks. Mo seems to be a better fit. And like you guys have said if the Bucks can add a nice backup for him they could have a nice young backcourt.
Mo Williams is a very talented scorer. He can shoot it well from anywhere on the court, he is very quick and explosive, he can get inside the paint and go to the foul line, etc...If given a shot, I think he could definately be a 20 ppg scorer. He's such a talented scorer. Kind of reminds me of a very poor man's Gilbert Arenas.
Maurice Williams can score from anywhere on the court and scoring has never been his problem, but his consistency has always seperated him from the best point guards but it seems that his confidence has gone up this season and he's exceeding expectations. He's playing Jason Kidd style basketball at the moment scoring points, grabbing rebounds, and finding his teammates. There may be some more valuable candidates that have improved more but you have to at least mention Mo Williams and throw his name out there because he has improved tremendously this season and I could see him having a shot to grab that most improved player award this season.
