I've never understood the "if (X) needs help to win, he's not a star" sentiment. Jordan didn't win a thing until a Hall of Famer showed up. Magic had a few good guys named Worthy and Kareem to help. LeBron is 2-4 in Finals (and should be 1-5), and he's the 3rd-greatest of all-time, by most accounts. Harden's a really good player. I don't like his style, aesthetically, and he isn't as good as LeBron or Jordan or Magic, obviously, but to say that he sux unless he can single-handedly make the team win is...short-sighted and divorced from reality.
I fucking love feasting on the tears of Rockets fans. Fuck them, and fuck Beverly and his bitch ass. Dame stopper? Pffft. Dame throttled that POS.
There are few teams I enjoy beating as much as the Rockets. The Clippers rank right up there for similar reasons....both teams whine and cry constantly although HOU seems to flop more just due to Harden. The Beard flops and contorts anytime he even THINKS there will be contact, Beverly plays in constant bitch move...the forearm to Dame was straight punk, and Ariza/Brewer have their moments as well. Love putting them down like they have the last two games.
Yeah I think way too many fans equate team success to player success. LeBron getting the Cavs to the finals early in his career and losing to a veteran Spurs team was more impressive than winning a title with Wade, Bosh, and a group of great role players. I'm fine with Anthony Davis being an all-star because you take him off that team they're worse than the 76ers. Still I think Harden deserves much of the blame with Houston this season. Teams take on the personality of their leader. It doesn't mean he's a bad player but I would have him ranked just outside being an all-star this season even though he scores so much. His defense is worse than Lillards. He's inefficient and turns the ball over. He doesn't create opportunities for teammates as someone scoring that much should. The negativity surrounding the team is something a good leader helps change. Harden was horrible and out of shape to start the season; although he has been more productive as of late. Last nights game the Rockets were coming off a grueling back to back at Golden State while we rested so yes many are overreacting to our easy win. I still have him on the cusp of being an allstar; just think he's getting rewarded from his previous season play more than his current season to date.
Funny comment last night from ClutchFans about how their coach was a moron for taking out a young player in the middle of the 4th quarter, and the Blazers randomly went on a run and won the game. No acknowledgement that that was when Lillard came back into the game. headshake.
Yup. They made their run and then dame finally came back in when the lead was only 5. We quickly built it back up to like 13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
