Duncan spends a lot of time at center this year. I don't see why he has to be strictly a PF. I would have the starting lineup of the West be Nash, Kobe, Nowitzki, Garnett, and Duncan.

No Gilbert Arenas or Steve Nash? Nash is having a career year so far and Gil deserves the start over both vince and Wade so far. I agree with the rest though.

^The only things I'd change on yours is put TD as a starter over Melo, and put Josh Howard over Marion...but it's a good list besides that to me, lol.
This is the west lineup I want to seePG- TmacSG- KobeSF- CarmeloPF- DirkC- YaoKobe and tmac work to together well. That backcourt would dominate.

If you aint first, you're last.....</div> You're bilding this team on flashiness not talent in the least bit, if you go into the all-star game with either of these teams they would get raped. First of all, Vince Carter is starting in the ASG??? Sure he might because of the votes but the fact that you think he should makes me laugh. Also, Chris Bosh at PF? If you're going to play Dwight Howard at C at least have the decency to play Jermaine O'Neal at PF. Looking at your West team, Thats a really good idea, having two big scorers on the backcourt, btw I'm using sarcasm. I can't believe you didn't even consider Steve Nash or Gilbert Arenas like Tony said. Also your comment about the reserves...the reserves are a key part of the game....Also whoever made the comment that Baron Davis is nearly as good as Dirk...are you serious? Dirk is argueabely the most versatile big man OF ALL TIME and you're saying that injury prone, little defensive abilities Baron Davis is nearly as good as him...

I just put the healthy list there but I expect someone to be out with some sort of an injury which will allow Josh Howard to play.
If I had to choose between Josh and Marion right now I'd take Josh...but you can't really go wrong on either side, lol.

Tmac and kobe both have the ball handling and passing abilities to play point guard in an allstar game.
^Um, doesn't Nash have 2 MVP's? And he's on pace for another one...or at least to be in discussion for it?Tmac will never do that...he wont' ever even win one...that's for sure. Now I like Tmac, and think he's a great player, but I don't think it's as cut and dry as "Tmac is better, always has been"
Individually I would definitely say Tracy McGrady is better than Steve Nash, however when you're talking about team success, leadership, and how valuable they are too their respective teams (not only currently but throughout their careers), it is easy to see that Nash has the upper hand in that regard. Also, T-Mac starting in the ASG still isn't guaranteed. Iverson isn't that far behind him, and who knows what will happen down the stretch of voting. Either way it's safe to say both those guys will be in the ASG, barring injuries.

Just look at how crappy they were without him last season. Also, it isn't a suprise that the Rox are wiining with just tmac and without yao. Tmac is the mvp of his team just as steve nash is with is team. Both are equally as important.

Melo your kidding right. Wasn't it like a month ago that people were saying that T-mac had lost his touch and Steve Nash was going for a third MVP by playing some of the best basketball? T-mac is nothing up to the rate of Nash and never will be. Also t-mac is a SG not a PG
