How exactly did albitch get snubbed out of anything?

And team usa? Hmm... I can see that, I guess... but even just getting invited to it is a big deal... I don't necessarily call that a snub.

What I don't understand is how your definitions of snubs and "being counted out" are relevant to Dame's interpretation of the same when interpreting his lyrics.

Sure, but there's a vast difference between ending sentences with prepositions and basic subject-verb conjugation. One might expect more out of someone who made it to the league and still went and got his bachelor's. I'm not saying that it bothers me like it does Wookee, but I can understand where he's coming from.

Show some empathy to crotchety old white people.

Nope! And I have a firm grasp on the English language. Song lyrics are very often not grammatically correct.

Why would one expect more from a hip-hop song when hip-hop songs are very often not grammatically correct?

Adding the word did isn't a black or white thing.

Since you've already stated that you're unwilling to empathize with the crotchety old white man perspective, then there's no point in me trying to explain it to you.

Crotchety old white men should gain perspective and understand there's no reason to complain about how grammatically correct a hip-hop song is.

Especially since there are plenty of songs in other genres that aren't.

Must be nice to have the privilege of elevating your own perspective to a place of greater significance than another's. And here I thought we were all of equal value.

What the fuck are you talking about man? EVERYONE knows hip hop songs aren't for the most part grammatically correct. I don't have some exclusive license to that information....

Then you wanna make a white privilege jab...

Can we be done with this shit? It's too early in the day...

This post is shit race-baiting in the form of concern trolling. Never mind that you started a sentence with "and", which is grammatically bad!

Just because hip-hop songs aren't, for the most part, grammatically correct, doesn't mean that Wookee, or other crotchety old white people, have some sort of inherent responsibility to accept it, or are wrong in being frustrated by and disappointed in the intentional butchering of the English language.

When you say that you are not willing to empathize with his perspective, and that rather he should gain yours, you are in fact elevating your perspective to a place of greater importance. I'm sorry you can't see that.

You're welcome to direct message it to me. I doubt I'll be offended, but I'll gladly discuss any potential misperceptions on either of our parts.

I've always considered lyrics/rap to be poetry put to music. Many forms of poetry are grammatically incorrect.

It's also similar to art, many forms of art are reality and/or perspective incorrect.

Then there are rap songs that can't even bother to get the title grammatically correct.

Me and Bobby McGee?!? by MC Janis Joplin.

I can't get no satisfaction?!? by the Rolling Rappers.

Who do you love?!? By Bo Diddley.

I feel good?!? By someone claiming to be the godfather of soul when really they should be called the godfather of bad grammar.
