James Dolan probably likes Kurt Rambis’ message a lot better. It remains to be seen whether Phil Jackson can help achieve it by Thursday’s trade deadline. The biggest difference early between Derek Fisher and his replacement is an embrace of a playoff chase, which Rambis took to the next level following Wednesday’s practice. “That’s what I told the team. That’s our No. 1 goal. We have no other goal than making the playoffs,” Rambis said. Fisher avoided all talk about the postseason and preferred “the process,” even once saying on ESPN Radio that he wouldn’t be disappointed if the Knicks failed to qualify. That comment didn’t sit well with Dolan, according to sources. But now the Knicks (23-32), losers of 10 of their last 11 games, are a long shot for the postseason while sitting in 12th in the Eastern Conference. They also have limited assets to pull off the backcourt upgrade the team is craving. - See more at: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...seek-nba-trade-deadline-won-article-1.2535556
