Aroldis Chapman said Thursday that he will appeal any potential suspension from Major League Baseball related to his off season domestic violence allegations as per The New York Daily News.

 

Yankees Manager Joe Girardi said Thursday that he envisions Luis Severino pitching 200 innings in 2016 as per Joel Sherman.

 

If that's true than I can honestly see this kid winning between 15-20 games.

 

...he can appeal all he wants...but he will be suspended.

...he just needs to admit he used poor judgment and apologize, then shut up and take his medicine.

The New York Post reports that the Yankees voided a multi-year agreement with reliever Tommy Hunter due to a failed physical as per Joel Sherman.

 

^^^it was an ill-advised deal to begin with.

 

Yeah because the Indians just announced that Hunter will be starting the season on the DL with some abdominal issue. So I guess the Yankees doctors saw something that the Indians doctors missed.

 

I'm just glad they caught it.

 

...I'm still trying to figure out what Chapman would be "appealing".

...no disputing the guy's talent but PR-wise I think his signing, especially at the time, was wrong.

He's a decent utility guy so I knew someone was going to pick him up.

MLB Network reports that the Indians are interested in signing Austin Jackson as per Jon Heyman.

 

Looks like the Indians are making an effort to being a little respectable. I think Jackson would be a good fit there.

 

CC Sabathia (knee) said he feels great and is ready to compete for a spot in the Yankees starting rotation as per MLB Network.
