The rule changes in fighting have resulted in the NHL's premier players getting knocked out for significant periods of time every year by no talents looking to make a name for themselves. Bettman believes the positive effect is the NHL has progressed beyond players like John Scott but the negative is now hits like this happen on an almost nightly basis because players like John Scott aren't around to administer a beatdown to the offender. Stepan and Fast are straight up pussies for doing nothing after the play so Klein and his broken thumb had to intervene - Step I can understand but Fast needs to take off the skirt and get more physical. Hope McDonough doesn't miss much time.
Not to brag LOL but I will anyway. I called the 3 games on the button. I agree with dump and also hope he gets a beatdown next time. Unfortunately, the guy to do the beatdown will probably still be in the press box.
