I missed what happened, any way of posting it here?

Whatever it was struck a nerve, not surprising because that dude has a lot of them.

Pretty much tells me that he reads everything you guys say on here. I am a nobody just giving my personal opinion on a Blazer board.

Somehow he took what i said on here and went to Twitter with it? I simply said he writes like a "Jilted ex-girlfriend" now when he writes about the Blazers.

I like Quick, have never had a problem with the things he writes.

It's funny, he's written things that Blazer fans don't like so they don't believe it but in the end he was right. His Duck coverage was the same. People lost their minds when he first started talking about Colt Lyerla but he was right.

I always liked what he wrote also. "Behind the Locker Room Door" was one of a kind. He also knew more about BRoy than anybody. But in the end some players lost trust in him. Can he get it back? I somehow think not. Might be best for him to try greener pastures?

Quick has written some amazing pieces on the Blazers over the years especially the behind the scenes pieces. I get that not everyone likes everyone but he seems to do a very good job and has for a long time and career path seems to be on the upward arc in reward. Compare him to former colleague hack the Clown and it's not close.

And then we have the Pippen issues....
Then there were the Batum issues....
Then there were the Oden issues....
Then there are the Aldridge issues....
Are there going to be Lillard issues?

In hindsight, all of those issues proved out for the most part.

I like quick a lot. He seems to take things a little personal at times, but I've enjoyed his reads. And hes quite loyal to Oregon, which is a plus in my book.

For years, the Oregonian thought that it owned the team. But they never paid money to own a piece.

Reporters are clerks, subordinate to events, not managers of those events. Personal vendettas against an excellent owner or GM just make a paper look small. Infiltrating a team's office workers as if it's a foreign enemy, then crying for years when the owner fires the informers, is just juvenile hunter game-playing.

It's hard to separate Quick from Canzano, and I try because Canzano is far worse, but they both are creatures of the same cowardly anonymous Editor who hates the Blazers. The paper is losing money hand over fist now, while the Blazers have easily moved ahead without its support.

Honestly I've never understood the people that shit themselves over what the writers put out. It's their jobs to put out material people talk about..... It's comes off as very childish and whiny to bitch about the paper.

His Duck coverage was excellent. I think most Duck fans were surprised how good it was. You could tell he really enjoyed covering the student athlete vs the professional athlete.

But I am not sure what you're referring to about Lyerla. If it was the article I think you are referring to where he said Helfrich needs to " realize that sometimes players do need to be treated differently, that not everyone is the same. There are different personalities. Different temperaments. Different backgrounds on a 105-player team. ............" I think one could argue that in in the end Helf was right to not treat Lyerla differently. He was coddled too much IMO in HS. But I don't really know all the facts. Overall I agree that Quick did a very good job covering the Ducks. I enjoyed his articles.

    Look this is my take...
I am an Ironworker. I build bridges and buildings for the most part. An occasional elephant exhibit. Jason is a writer. If Jason doesn't like one of my Bridges, say the Sellwood bridge. He writes a piece about the way it looks to him. Saying he doesn't like it is just part of the game right?
If he writes a piece or is a guest on Talking Ball and says something i don't like then i don't have a problem saying i don't like what he said.
For me to say "I'm tired of you shit" if he is saying the truth about how he feels seems a bit over the top.
    Just my take on it.
