If we moved/deleted all the posts that fit one of those criteria: A. No substance or material worth discussing B. Thread or post in bad taste C. Trolling variety/going for reaction There wouldn't be hardly anything left on the forum.
Nah...the forum has been great...good threads, topics, good discussion...sorry, this thread is in the vast minority of worthless threads. PapaG would've tore this guy a new ***hole to shove his ideas up. It's all good though, in the end the thread is still here, slightly moderated title and already 5 pages of response..you can thank the mods for that..
Moving a thread to the OT forum is basically shadow banning it because significantly fewer people visit/post on the OT forum.
I agree with you on his failed signings, and of course the Afflalo trade turned out to be a big time bust. But the only player i'd ding him for not trading is LA. But I don't see how any of the others represent a "trend". Freeland and Wright are not even playing in the NBA anymore. Kaman is washed up. He didn't know Wes would snap his Achilles. It's risk for a team to trade a 1st rounder to rent a guy on the last year of their contract (see Afflalo)
Aldridge: you know the story... Lopez, Matthews, Afflalo: All would have been re-signed had Tex not turned his coat. Freeland, Wright: Both were UFAs who are both out of the NBA. Leonard: even though no one has a good source, it has been said that NO offered him a contract (I don't believe that btw). He is an RFI and we have the ability to match if we want to keep him. I like the idea of letting the market decide how much he is worth. If a contract was offered, logic dictates that it was probably small. Likely Henderson, Kaman: Henderson is playing on the best team that he's ever played on. Something tells me he'll re-sign if he wants to keep winning IMO Chris Kaman doesn't have any market value which is why he's not gone.
