Cracker Barrel has great breakfasts for a chain restaurant. I never tried their dinners. I am surprised at all the negative posts after the article. Makes me wonder if any of them have actually eaten at a CB, or if they own or work at a restaurant, and afraid of more competition?
Ha, it was with people from work. Didn't have a choice on the location. Next time they have us go there I'll try a burger. Also, I've been hella disappointed with the food choices downtown. Everyone talks about food being amazing downtown. And I disagree. I can get better food on 82nd or in the burbs or Hawthorne

For 8 years, I traveled a lot for work. My worst year was 150 nights in motels. I did a lot of living out of a suitcase and eating restaurant food. I remember very few restaurant meals, but I remember breakfasts at Cracker Barrel. It was always a nice treat when I was near one.
Before Chik Filet, Cracker Barrel were the original gay bashers. Good food though, and their store was fun to look at. We'd always go there on our trips to the south

They (the company's shareholders) are in fact extremely racist and hate gays with a corporate passion. They were once officially the most racist food chain in America, and damn proud of it. That they have chosen The Blazers' bedroom (so to speak) for their Oregon base seems suicidal image-wise if not simply a very bad business decision.
