Yep, that's Pretzel Logic alright, and makes no sense to me, neither.

Whale, Shucks nnn sheeyit fahr, Dem boys ain't gonna' get no Hahpah, fowar Fowar Hun-nerd Mehyon Dohllahs. Dat plan jest amakes no ssssssssssssssnese to mae nathah.....so much for de playan...Wher dids dat Kool llayed...???

Ya' mean other teams can bid on Harper, and I thought MLB was rigged to always allow favoritism to the Evil Empire...in all honesty, I bet Bryce out prices himself right out of the market, and can he sustain a year like last for the next 5-10 years, with good health?, that is the million dollar question. I can't see Bryce ever in Pin Stripes, our illustrious GM seems to of forgotten how to make a deal, without breaking the piggy banks..........?
I bet when that time comes, his price tag will be utter foolish greed induced, or- no different than getting an unasked for Fleet (enema).....with a blank check....(to take care of business, aka bidnetz)..

    Now you're being outright ridiculous.
Only a fool thinks we need "homerific rose colored glasses" if we won't be surprised if Castro provides better overall production at 2b than 2015, Ellsbury having a similar (or better) 2016 as he had in 2014, Gregorius being more established and consistent from the opening bell, Headley producing just a bit more and NOT making tons of uncharacteristic errors, getting a solid season from Beltran, Refsnyder in the fold and helping out offensively as some kind of role player adding better depth...and a real possibility of Sanchez arriving with a bigger bat than John Ryan Murphy.

And I can and do understand the concerns about the SP...but the bullpen should be just fine including the "middle relief"....I believe the Yanks will fill those roles from within with their young pitchers.

As for the SP- let's hope Tanaka and co stay reasonably healthy.

    I am allowed to "hope", aren't I?
All MGRS and GMs kinda do a bit of "hoping"....lol

    Are YOU "hopeless"?

Its great to be a glass half fill type of fan but when it comes to this team you just can't ignore the cracks in that glass.

Judging from your response as you mentioned me being a glass half full type of fan - and then pointing out cracks in that "glass"....... What shall we say about "cracks" in the glasses of some of the Yanks' competition?

Yanks had the FOURTH BEST RECORD in the league last year......certainly nothing to brag about from the Yankee franchise......but can we cut out the bullshit about this team being hopeless, mediocre and "pathetic" as Matt has said?
And if you aren't aware of some of the very talented skilled position players in the Yankee system, you better ask someone...lol.

Yanks are primed for another chance of putting forth another consistent WS contender IF NOT THIS YEAR than within one or two seasons as those talented young minor leaguers progress simultaneously as the Yanks drop 45-85 mil from the payroll.......
    .....Yankee franchise is ON schedule.

...Yup, and as far as I know they don't give out rings and trophies for mediocre glass half full teams.

...sorry but 2009 was simply too long ago for me to accept as a Yankee fan...this team/roster/contract moves have been poorly managed and there's no way of sugar coating it. Cashman is supposed to be the GM and he should be held accountable for allowing things to come to this...again, I'm sorry, but this ain't the fucking Padres we're talking about and I'm not willing to sit on my hands and blindly pretend to be happy with the status quo like a good little homerific sheep.

...Brian's "devil may care" contract moves of the past are as we speak, now hamstringing this franchise...Cashman's chickens have clearly come home to roost...and it shows.

^^^ Thank you...last year was such a riveting and exiting season...a whopping 4 games over .500 for the last 130+ games of the year...crawled to the finish of the regular season by losing 6 of their last 7...and then got shut out at home 3-0 by Houston....WEEEEEE !

    ...but hey, at least they have this to show for it;

Fresh out of the oven: Pretzel Logic....

a damn good album, a tasty treat, but hell for figuring things out, with half a wit, or is that a twit...???

this much blows my mind, and I thought Tex was playing with a full deck:
If it were up to Teixeira, he'd go with option No. 1.
"I think I have a lot of good years left in me especially after last year," he said. "I’d love to play five more years; I’d love to play until I’m 40. My body feels so good, why not play until I’m 40? Being the kind of hitter I am, I can be a DH the last few years of my career, which could really prolong it. I would love to play that long.”

"I have never met Napoleon, but I plan to find the time".
