I remember someone calling me out for saying Sam cassell was just as important as Elton brand to the clippers. Watching the clippers now, you can see how much they miss Sam. Their playing horrible ball without him. He was the engine and floor general of the team. Shaun Livingston simply cannot fill his shoes, again he is showing his inconsistency in every facet of his game.So how do the clippers with all the depth and talent go from a good team to a team who looks like their heading to the lottery? I think it's pretty obvious why they are stuggling. .edit: Also Sam had the same impact with the wolves. First season he came there, he was healthy and they went to the wcf. The next season, he was injured and didn't want to be there and the team headed to the lottery.

Doesn't Sam have plantar fasciitis? But you're right, they are struggling without him. Teams start and end with their point man. If he's calling the right plays and distributing the ball the way he should, then most good teams will do very well. You rarely see a good team without a good point guard. Sam is a very good point guard when healthy, so that could be a legit reason of why they're struggling. But hey, they're the Clippers, remember?

The old clipper teams were talented as well and we all know what happened with them. I still think that everything will be fine once Sam is 100% healthy. Also, if he indeed does have plantar fasciitis then man that's going to take a long time to heal. It took kobe half of the season to get over it and he is a quick healer. Duncan also suffered from it last season and he had statistically his worst year.

I am enjoying every minute of the Clippers struggling. The annoying few Clipper fans that live over here(I still have no idea why) will actually shut up and stop talking sh*t like they did when the season started. haha

I have been saying this since Sam Cassell signed with the Clippers a few years ago. Elton Brand is not the reason for the Clippers success... It was Sam Cassell. The Clips having a horrible time without Cassell this year is only proving my point more. The Clippers were one of the worst franchises in league history before Cassell arrived, he shows up and all of a sudden they become a 2nd round playoff team that was 1 game away from the Western Conference Finals. They are 4-4 recently without Cassell but not a single win came against a team with a .500 record.

There team is cursed!!!No, they just don't have alot of chemistry. Cuttino Mobely, Sam Cassell, and Tim Thomas are all shooting away at will. Shaun Livingston at his young age is trying to lead this team full of shot-happy veterans. Elton Brnad is doing his thing but Chris Kaman is demanding too much attention. The whole team lacks chemistry.
