Saw a picture of our team a few years ago and got me thinking, what would be the five most immortal lineups in Blazers history? Reason could be any one thing or another. Here's what I was thinking:

    1. Walton, Lucas, Hollins, Gross, Twardzik - Obviously won the title
    2. Clyde, Porter, Kersey, Buck, Duck - Obvious
    3. Sheed, Pippen, Smith, Damon, Sabas - Another obvious one
    4. Roy, Blake, Batum, Przy, LMA - Not sure about this one, but this group led us past the dark ages and should be recognized for that at least. Przy over Oden, because duh
    5. Dame, LMA, Batum, Wes, Rolo - This one also didn't achieve as much, but completely embraced by the city

Are there any that I am missing or are underrated?

Next years lineup of Dame, CJ, Harkless, Vonleh and Brook Lopez will crack the list. :)

Don't think he means immoral like that. Those are all guys we could have (should have?) had on the team.

I'd put the 90's team #1. I care more about continued long term success than one brief year of winning an extra series. They had the longest window of contention and have so many players among the best Blazers ever. Those were stacked western conference opponents and Jordan on the other side. Those Blazers were better than many NBA title winning teams.

    Waltons Blazers #2
    Sabas n Sheed
    Wes n Rolo starters

I can't put a starting group with Blake and Pryz too high; their really 10th or 11th men on a good playoff team roster. Shows how little support Roy ever had in his 1 healthy playoff season. I guess they are here by default at #5. Shows how often we've had major roster turnover as well.

Lillards current Blazers can get to 4th on the list and maybe third after next season with some surprising playoff success.

Well, you can scratch 1 and 2 off the list, because they contain players that are now dead, so they are obviously not immortal.

Lineup #2 will live on in my mind and heart forever, no matter how many members leave this earth, since they are the group that captured me in my youth.

    Immortal.

Don't forget about the 1987-88 team that went 53-29:
    - Clyde Drexler (27.0 ppg) [10x All Star, Hall of Fame, , #22 Retired Blazer Jersey]
    - Kiki Vandeweghe (20.2 ppg) [2x All Star]
    - Jerome Kersey (19.2 ppg)
    - Kevin Duckworth (15.8 ppg) [2x All Star]
    - Steve Johnson (15.4 ppg) [1x All Star, #33 Retired at Oregon State]
    - Terry Porter (14.9 ppg) [2x All Star, #30 Retired Blazer Jersey]
    - Maurice Lucas (6.1 ppg) [4x All Star, NBA Champion (1977), #20 Retired Blazer Jersey]
    - Jim Paxon (6.1 ppg) [2x All Star]
    - Michael Holton (5.3 ppg)
    - Caldwell Jones (4.3 ppg) [1x All Star]

Quite a mash up of eras there. Lucas on his second tour with the Blazers. Paxson on his final season with the Blazers. Clyde/Terry/Jerome/Kevin just before their multiple runs at the finals. Steve Johnson at his peak during his 1 All Star season. Michael Holton preparing for his broadcasting career. Caldwell Jones winding down his 17 season NBA career.

Is there any other Blazer team that had that many former all stars?

    Dame
    Roy
    Pippen
    Sheed
    Sabas

If only. 5 3point threats. 5 more than capable passers. 5 guys who can dunk that rock. Pretty good overall defense.

I suppose you could put Clyde in place of pippen but I still hate that he is considered a career r*cket and embraces it.
