I personally think it is ridiculous that you can't criticize refs without being fined. They fuck up so much, they deserve to be called out for it.

Not really. You can say whatever you want. Comments about the officials cost money. So as long as you're willing to pay you can say whatever you want about the officials. A smart player or owner who knew he was going to get fined with simply just go on a tirade about the referees. Why pull punches? You're going to get a $10,000 fine or a $25,000 fine. You might as well get your money's worth and say whatever the fuck you want. Don't parse words.

I'm a referee. I hate when people in the crowd who don't know what the fuck they're talking about have something to say about one of my calls when it's obvious that they don't know the rules. I say that to say the NBA refereeing is broken and that maybe to fix it, some reputable player, coach, or owner needs to go on a serious tirade. Maybe then somebody will try to listen.

All entities: players, coaches, referees, spectators want to get rid of flopping.

What did the NBA do about it?

Ignore the problem and create a revenue stream by fining players and not doing SHIT to hold the referee accountable. You know... The one responsible for the flop.

Cuban is right there some of these official in the NBA are just bad. The league need to fine them if they make to many wrong calls in the game. Don't get me wrong there human they will miss some calls but some of these are just out to lunch. Especially if they cost someone a game and the team battle for playoffs. Silver again get handle on this because if I was owner I wouldn't renew there contract until things get fixs.
