Bobby Petrino. Someone posted that it was on ESPN News. If so, this is a surprise. I thought Whisenhunt was supposed to be the favorite for this job...oh well, better for the Cards. Petrino was a pretty good OC in the NFL before college I think so this shouldn't be too bad of a transition to the NFL. I don't know if this was the right choice for the Falcons though. I thought Petrino would move on to a bigger university instead of going to the NFL.
Not thrilled about this...at all..Petrino's type of offense will not work with Vick, but then again I dont know if any offense can work for him.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2723700

I guess it's a good signing. tough to say as of now.
Maybe he'll contribute to getting Vick either out of Atlanta or moved to RB. Then he'd be a successful coach.
I think Petrino was hired because the owner thinks he might be able to build an offense around Vick that'll work alot better than the run oriented offense of Dan Reeves, and the West Coast offense of Mora Jr.We'll just have to wait and see if it works or not.
Petrino should be able to improve the Falcons, but I wouldn't mind seeing Vick going somewhere else for a chance.Dan Reeves, IMO, was successful when Vick became more use to the NFL and started improving in his second year, but Vick's third year, he was injured, and the Falcons were terrible; simply therefore, Reeves lost his job unfairly. I can't remember if he stepped down voluntarily or was fired. It was a while back!
