    Timeline of events:

    Summer of 2014

Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen are set to fight each other on July 5th at the Finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 in Las Vegas. Silva injures his hand and the fight is postponed indefinitely. Silva later avoids a random drug test and does not submit an application to fight. He is replaced in the bout with Vitor Belfort. In June, Sonnen fails multiple out-of-competition drug tests and retires and his fight with Belfort is scrapped. Silva, meanwhile, is issued a lifetime ban by the NSAC.

    May, 2015

The NSAC overturns Silva's lifetime ban but he remains suspended until a final ruling can be made in his case at a later time.

    July, 2015

Silva accuses the UFC of fixing fights. His career is in hiatus and he complains about wanting to be released from his contract. Many suspect he is trying to get fired. The UFC won't release him and instead opt to sue him for intentional misconduct.

    October, 2015

Silva doubles-down on his accusation saying that the UFC, by allowing Belfort to fight Jon Jones despite allegedly being aware of elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone levels, was fight fixing.

    November, 2015

The UFC block Silva from making promotional appearances for Bellator.

    January, 2016

Silva apologizes for accusing the UFC of fixing fights saying he didn't know what he was saying. The UFC releases him from his contract and drops their suit against him.

    Today

The NSAC rule that Silva shall be banned from competition for three years, retroactive to May 24, 2014, meaning he will not be allowed to compete until May 24, 2017. If he wishes to apply for a new license he will need to pass a drug test in order to do so. The NSAC opt not to fine him as his bout with Sonnen was canceled.

Rumour has it Sakakibara was hoping to put together Silva/Emelianenko as the headliner for the next R1Z1N event. Silva could still fight in Japan in contravention of his stateside suspension but it would likely mean he would get a lifetime ban from fighting in North America or under any sympathetic sanctioning bodies.

Wand is reportedly negotiating with Bellator and R1Z1N.

He'll never fight for Bellator if he fights for R1Z1N before his suspension is up so who knows?

Wand has reportedly signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator.

Not sure if it begins once his suspension is up or if they plan on using him overseas.

^ Paul Daley is asking to fight him.

TBQH I think Semtex would wreck him.
