Like I said, soon it'll get to the point where one will say to the other, "Oh yeah! well my dad can beat up your dad".

This may be news and a new concept to some, but it is very possible for a President to get things done and funded of course with the help of a friendly congress having a good enough majority from the same party- I think it's called "the President's proposed budget"...you may have heard of it?

These budgets contain misc cuts, streamlined adjustments and/or defunding to ineffecient wasteful programs (in POTUS' mind) while also increasing funding and manpower to programs which the President deems more important and vital. Then it gets sent to congress and they either pass it or not....In the later case it then comes down to POTUS trying to persuade congress, make his points and taking it to the American people with news conferences, ect as Reagan was very good at.
It's called leadership, being influencial and being tenacious enough to stick it out or going with a strategic compromise on some "insignificant" lesser evil proposed from the opposing party which is what Obama has done very adeptly for the most part getting his way with a weak gutless REPUBLICAN congress - case in point, Obama's last monstronsity budget which Boehner and company passed.

    Think about it.

...pretty much Rick....it's a very sad state of affairs.

...if I had my choice of one of the remaining candidates, it would be...well, never mind.

Correct. Plus 1 on 1 Cruz slaughters Donald 56-40. A vote for Donald is a vote for Hillary.

GOP voters are up and Dem voters are down, because most primaries allow crossovers. What makes anyone believe these Dems voting for Trump would do so in the general....polls prove otherwise. This is a massive scam being played on the GOP. Day one of the convention is to establish and create the rules for nomination. I can see the GOP adopting super-delegates and shutting Trump out.

I think your going to see some of the unions getting behind trump which one already has. As for 56-40 cruz that assumes cruz get the vote of every person that drops out and trump gets none which isn't happening

    ...^^^ I don't think that's what Tote was referencing.

...but anyway, if the GOP candidates don't stop behaving like they did again last night, they will push more voters toward the Dems.

...Questioning and arguing about the size of trump's dick?...seriously?

The GOP debates really continue to be a horrible display. Just childish behavior filled with ridiculous insults and innuendo.

...Mess, I seem to recall you and I discussing the possibility that by design, Trump was "planted" for the sole purpose of blowing up the GOP and thus handing the Presidency to Hillary.

...I swear, that's exactly what it looks like...it's really disgusting and embarrassing. Meanwhile, the Dems are sitting back and watching and laughing.

...Kasich is the only one who has taken the high road and has shown poise and class throughout this whole cluster fuck...and for that reason alone, if the election were held today he'd probably get my vote. ( I know, I know...just sayin')

...fwiw, polls say Kasich has a better head to head lead over Hillary than either Rubio or Cruz or Trump.

I don't know if he ever thought he would get this far. That said you're right. The Dems are laughing their asses off at this mess. Kasich has been a class act but that gets lost as he's mixed up in a complete clown show. I watch five minutes and have to turn it off. That's what this has all come to.

Yeah Vic, I'm surprised (being the only adult on the stage) that Kasich isn't getting more attention.

Honestly tho' he gets little time, Kasich seems to be the only GOP candidate who is not posturing, or gloating, or playing games, IMO....

this field is worse than a high school student body election.....on both sides, not one ideal candidate IMO.

It's going to get uglier, especially when the GOP field is split,.... If Hillary gets the nod, I'm outta' here.....

Bienvenue à la maison du Québec...

Have to disagree. Rubio may have sunk to Trumps level, but Cruz didn't play schoolyard games. Kasich unwilling to confront Trump because he needs those voters in Ohio. Marco is trying to out trump Trump for FL.

Not worried about the Dems because once we have a nominee not named Trump, they handily crush Hillary. That is if she isn't already in an orange jumpsuit.

Little Marco is renting space in Donald's other head....classic Trumpian meltdown.
Pundit concensus today was that Cruz crushed the debate with Kasich a close second, his Rodney King statements Jeep hurting him more than his cranky old guy routine.

I'd say Cruz's guy who stepped down/aside, due to informing Iowa voters Carson had quit, possibly resulting in swinging Ben's votes, Cruz's way....that I'd say is schoolyard; pedestrian. Not saying Cruz can't straighten out, yet he's a bit more conservative than I prefer. I've never ever been a moral majority believer, never will be, and to seek their backing is not my view or beliefs, other than that, continue forth......

just saying, Politics is down and dirty either way one hides it. Yet, The Don doesn't hide it well, and needs to learn a basic Debate etiquette 101....

Just say no to Pat Robertson types, and where the hell did Goldwater go.....?
