That's just a really awful job by Yandle having just given up 2. Gotta be smarter than that.

Like I said he we go again. I guess good night for me. It seems time for the usual board clown show to begin.

With pens D still in this game just need the first goal next period. Didn't look at ice time but seemed every time I looked up girardi was out there and can't handle the pens speed or get puck out of zone. Bad last few minutes though

They can still come back because the pens d is suspect. Just a quick observation. The Pens made a good trade getting Hagelin. He has definitely made them faster as team. We will miss his speed in the playoffs. The Rangers on the other hand have gotten even slower with Staal in the lineup.

Yup because if they don't go undefeated the rest of the way there's no possible way they can contend. They put together 10-2-2 and nobody has anything to say. They lose a game and this is the idiocy that prevails.

I know it is only two games but from what I've seen Staal was not worth of giving up Saarela. Draft picks should've been enough.

i think u have to give him at least 5 games or so to adjust to this team. Bad sign in 3rd if staal didn't have the flu or something that glass played 2 more minutes than him.

Our coach is still figuring out how to use a supposedly top 6 player that they just got. At least give Staal top 6 minutes to see what he has left, AV. It is not a rocket science.

His moves with a bunch of players have been head scratching this season.

Sounds like hank only has neck spams and nothing serious. Thank god.

I liked AV a lot before this season. Now I have a little confidence in the guy. Too much stupidity from him this season.

My problem with this team is not the loss today, or the way they played but lack of fight from almost everyone. I have a problem with lack of retaliation at Crosby's push. I think he pushed Yandle into Ranta and Ranta fell on ice. At that point the game was lost anyway, why not make sure to send a message it is not okay? I don't mean hurt Crosby but something to show that we care.

The best part about this game was Lundqvist knocking the net. It is great to see that emotion from the only guy on this team who wants SC badly, him, Klein and Zuc show a lot of heart but noone else. This type of attitude does not win you a cup. LA, Chicago, Boston: all of them showed that desire to win. Rangers don't have it! Not this year! St.Louis had that ability to lift the team but now team is too flat. Maybe Lundqvist can do this year, but it is harder for the goalie I guess.

So the tone of the board should be more positive but not too positive too many times about a single player by a single poster, got it Mel? I feel the same way about McIlrath, should be exciting news to most Rangers fans that another first rounder is panning out. He's getting better as he gets more playtime too. Many missed opportunities but Moore's choke on a shockingly good pass by Glass set the Pens rally in motion. Hope McDonough didn't hurt Hank again. Staal's been on the team for 2 games, he was picked up for the playoffs and the Ranger's offense is a little more dynamic than Carolina's, he'll be fine. The Rangers are going to the playoffs, from there anything can happen. The Caps might be putting together an epic President's Cup trophy winning season but history is not on their side when it comes to playoff success.

Laughable that Fleury called Lundqvist pushing the net off baby stuff when he plays with the biggest baby in the league in Crosby who does nothing but cry all game to the refs. That and the fact Fleury has sucked half his career as a goalie.

I've said it for over 3 months. Team needed to make major changes. Acquire draft picks, young players. Not trade them. Once again, they didn't do it. Now, you sit back and watch. If it doesn't work again, it is a disaster again. E. Staal was a dominating player. I don't see it. He doesn't look like he has much game left. Maybe if they get Nash back and put together a huge line of Hayes-Staal-Nash, that line can actually do something in the playoffs.

I'm not sure why you continue to lecture posters on this board 717 when they think this team isn't a cup contender. You could not produce one shred of evidence that this team is a cup contender. You must have one of your two special teams units be among the best to be a playoff contender. The Rangers suck at both. Pierre McGuire who usually praises the Rangers, in a very class way, dismissed them as a cup contender. He like most of us are not blind to what this team is. All they did was piss away more of the future. Said a thousand times and I'll say it again. Freakin stupid. If it doesn't work this year and I would say that is probably 95% likely, the team needs to be blown up. They need to unload several big names, get back tons of draft picks and young, NHL ready prospects. That includes dealing most anybody including Zucc, Girardi, Staal, Hayes, Kreider, Nash and even McDonagh in the right deal. If Edmonton was sitting 2nd or 3rd in the draft, I would move McDonagh for that pick. They need a young, franchise offensive player. To me, McDonagh can be replaced.

Besides none what evidence did you have two years ago when they went to the finals? They have playoffs in the NHL for a reason. If you want to just give up on the season as usual knock yourself out. I'll try and enjoy it instead of constantly being miserable.

Also, according to you many times the regular season doesn't matter and nobody should care. That's of course unless you want to bitch about it 24/7. Anyone who actually likes and enjoys the team is considered an idiot.
