I don't think they wanted the record. Glaring evidence of home cookin. :)

No shame in that loss. That Raptors team is good. Second in the East. Two all stars. I thought the Blazers played respectable defense, and the Raptors still shot 5o% FG and 50% 3pFG.

Nice to see Dame Time kick in and make a game of it. He's only the second Blazer to score 50 or more twice during their Blazer career (Geoff Petrie is the other). I'm guessing Dame will be the first Blazer to accomplish that feat 3 times.

Blazers All Time Top Scoring Games

    1. Damon Stoudamire, 1-14-2005, 54 pts.
    2. Andre Miller, 1-30-2010, 52 pts.
    2. Brandon Roy, 12-18-2008, 52 pts
    4. Damion Lillard, 2-19-2016, 51 pts
    4 Geoff Petrie, 3-16-73, 51 pts.
    4 Geoff Petrie, 1-20-73, 51 pts.
    7. Clyde Drexler, 1-6-1989, 50 pts.
    7. Damion Lillard, 3-4-2016, 50 pts.

    Dame continues to amaze!

Although the Raptors won the game, most of the ESPN highlights were of the Blazers. You don't see that very often.

This was really a hell of a good game by the Blazers. The Raptors are one of the hottest teams in the league, playing at home, and we overcame good shooting and they got like 500 FT attempts, and we only lost by 2. 2 is nothing, it's one show or a couple of FTs and a different outcome.

To me, the one that sticks out was the Jonas O board to Lowry 3... put them back up 5 with 3 minutes left... and we STILL almost did it.

Proud of em tonight. They made it a hell of a game.

Keep in mind it took a heroic effort by Dame and we still couldn't win

Thank god my favourite player had a monster stat line of 0/0/3 in 12 min (0-4) to make up for his horrible defense !

    Our guys have a tendency to stand and watch under the basket - and our pick-and-roll defense is still suspect;
But I'll tell you what: That Dillard guy is pretty good for a Non-All-Star!

Wasting a year of Dame's prime with this trash front court.

Our centers have been great all year. But SF or PF is a problem. If we add a legit starter to either spot this roster would be good. Vonleh/Aminu/Harkless could be solid as role playing PF if we had a good SF. Or if we had a great PF then Hendo/Aminu/Crabbe would be fine at SF.

But the duo of Aminu+Vonleh alongside each other is really struggling against the better quality opponents.

The problem with the current build is that you have to bring a good scorer who is also a great defender.
You can't play Dame and CJ with another weak defender at the same time.

We've got to get a substantial upgrade at PF somehow... It's frustrating to waste any part of Dame's prime..

Agreed. But he doesn't have to be a great offensive player; just a 13ppg guy with great defense.

We were going to be "wasting" a year regardless... this team is OVER-ACHIEVING many peoples expectations. So, are we not, in fact, doing more than we thought with this year of Dames' prime?

Lillard often deserves to be be highlighted for his defensive shortcomings, but that's going a bit too far! :)

This year was a throwaway anyways. So I don't know why people mention wasting Dame's prime years.

Shit the day LMA left without any compensation is the day we knew this might take awhile. If anything we should be happy this is somewhat of a productive year..
