Rob, Machado is only going to be around 26 years old when he becomes a FA. Now there's someone I'd lock up for 8-10 years to man the hot corner. And the timing would be perfect because I believe that's also when Headley's contract is up.
Of all the great names on this FA list, yeah, I wan't to see Machado at Thunder Alley, I'm sick of sub-par hot corner specialists....I'd have no prob locking him up either....Not just a gold glover as everyone knows, but a Platinum glover; who can handle the bat quit well.... One thing impressive about Machado, is his bounce back last year from injury, playing in all 162 games, now that is impressive .....! then again, every FA noted in OP, are going to be asking a shit load of cash, unless they crash and burn b/t now and then, with injuries...!
