<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Atlanta Journal Constitution -Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that the Atlanta Hawks , Portland Trailblazers, and Washington Wizards are discussing a multi-player trade. The rumored deal would have the Blazers sending Jamaal Magloire to the Wizards who would send Brendan Haywood and Jarvis Hayes to the Hawks while they send Lorenzon Wright, Salim Stoudemire, and Esteban Batista to the Blazers.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/441...and_washington/
I really love this deal for the blazers. They get a young 3 point shooter in Salim, and a pretty good low post defender in Lorenzon Wright. Jamaal Magloire hasn't impressed me that much this year, so I think its good that they would be getting youth. I think this is a very fair trade though, and I would be surprised if it didnt go down.
The Hawks would really benefit from this trade. Haywood is the kind of Center they need in Atlanta, and Hayes is a pretty solid swingman.
We get raped so badly in this trade, it's not even funny. Haywood is 5 times better than Magloire along and throwing in Hayes just makes it worse. Portland runs away with this.
This makes no sense for Washington at all. Jarvis Hayes might be an average at best backup SG/SF but for Haywood? Jamaal Magloire is hardly worth it, as most of you know, I've been bashing that worthless piece of sh*t for a year now.
Don't see it happening. Surprized it was the top story on realgm.com. Sounds like a rumor with no real substance from I read.
I doubt this trade would happen. Wizards are really getting nothing in Jamal, and I think they really need some good big men. Blazers would deff win but I think they would need to give up a PG/SG.
The Wizards are getting raped big time in this trade. Haywood is a good up and coming center and Jarvis Hayes is [borat]very nice[/borat]. Jamaal Magloire sucks balls.
I'm going to have to agree with guys in this thread about how stupid of a move this would be for Washington. Magloire is an expiring contract, sure, but Hayes is a scorer off the bench and Haywood isn't too shabby. I'd rather have Haywood on my team than Magloire, to tell you the truth. Magloire lacks motivation unless it has dollar signs in front of it.For Portland, I don't like it either. They are better off just letting him walk at the end of the year, freeing up some cap space, and use that money for re-signing guys like Roy, Aldridge, Webster, Jack, and their 07 pick. Maybe a free agent? Who knows? Besides, bringing in Wright and Salim isn't going to help anything. If this went down, Atlanta would make out like bandits. Wright, Salim, and Batista for Haywood and Hayes = great deal for Atlanta.
LOL, If this HAD to go down, I'd rather have Wright, Salim and Batista than Magloire. As I've said before, Magloire sucks balls.
