If you take out these people you call "middlemen" what would you do with all the people you will put out of jobs?

Same thing goes for the tax code. When republicans want to get rid of the middleman and become more regressive taxwise, they essentially want to put a million people out of jobs.

Who fucking knows, but I can tell you that everyone and their mom will now also taxed to the hilt (w/that system).

It's funny, because most poor or lower income people don't give a fuck about that. They welcome the free shit. I've seen so many bumper stickers for Bernie Sanders on piece of shit cars its unreal. Really makes you laugh. I know its anecdotal, but I can't help but draw conclusions from it.

When those people finally start being financially able, and start making maybe over 80K a year, they'll change their tune. They always do... once you start seeing thousands of dollars go to the Feds a month, you start to wise up to "new taxes" and "Socialism".

That's your problem, you haven't taken the chance to so any research. Here's the answer:

    Your premium would be 0.

Take the premium that you spend per year and reduce that down to $500 a year. That's how much you'll be paying for healthcare.

I make about 10% over the median income in Oregon. I'm voting Bernie.

And what the hell are you people talking about when you keep saying that Bernie is talking about free stuff??

Your health care would be Premium free but you still have to pay. College would be tuition free but you'd still have to pay. Bernie hasn't promised one free thing and those of you are saying it sound silly...

So fuck yeah I would pay more in taxes so that my son doesn't come out of college in debt. And fuck yeah I would pay more in taxes so that my health care premium goes away. You people arguing the ladder just can't see the forest for the trees.

Sigh.... throwing more money at bad problems doesn't solve the issue.

The issue with college expense; taxing people more money to pay your sons way, isn't the answer, that's just robbing the American people of their money so you don't have to be responsible.

And the REAL issue with College expenses is the fiscal irresponsibility of the schools. Paying coaches MILLIONS of dollars a year to run their sports programs, all of the recruiting expenses, the elaborate lush campuses to attract athletes....I could go on and on. THAT is why your son will have college debt my friend. So making others pay for that is just bullshit.

We are the only modern country that does not guarantee health care for its citizens. Because of this we pay almost twice as much as the next country down with regard to healthcare expenses per citizen. This is a problem. Your health care premium is a problem. People who are uninsured is a problem. Bottom line is you cannot control where your tax money goes. I don't want my tax money going to war and to bail out but what happened? Spending money on kids to go to school and you're going to bitch about that? That's the dumbest shit ever. For every dollar spent on head start we get a full $9 back in economic stimulus. Imagine the returns we would get for making sure that our kids don't come out of college loaded with debt. Then you take the libertarian route and complain about us using our tax dollars for this. In the time that you took to complain about that GE just stole $9K from us.

Sports programs in college are not the reason why our kids are in debt. Um, that would be tuition and books? Why the fuck does it cost $21,000 for me to send a kindergartener to Catlin Gabel? Is the little motherfucker going to be able to teleport and have special powers when he's done? College is way worse.

I heard a politician saying they do now on TV. He was Democrat, really pleased with the change.
The trouble is, the VA says I have to go to their Hospital in Roseburg. I guess the change was in emergencies only. Either that or, they haven't got the word. Either way, I get no option.

What makes you think a new Government run healthcare program will run differently than the currently run Government healthcare program?

Ha! There was a time when that is what I did for a living. Look for ways to improve the bottom line by cutting employees in client companies. Unions were the most fun.

It sucks to be stuck with a shitty ObamaCare "insurance" plan. It will save you from bankruptcy, perhaps, in the case of a catastrophic injury or illness, but the deductible is so high that most people end up paying the enormous ObamaCare tax and for their health care expenses out of pocket.

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/lammed-by-obamacare-1457395478

    $lammed by ObamaCare

Our annual health-care cost risk was $274 x 12, plus $1,000 in deductibles for a total of $4,288. My individual risk (that is, my personal share, excluding my dependents) was $1,072. By 2009, those figures had jumped to $10,716 in annual premiums for our family of four, plus $2,000 in deductibles—a threefold increase in health-care cost risk.

Since ObamaCare became law, the increase has been more than fourfold. The kids are “OTP”—off the payroll; just my wife and me now. In December 2014, I shopped on the Internet (not so quaint) for new health insurance. I bought a Bronze plan for two people that cost $1,037 a month and had a $12,600 family deductible ($6,300 each). We were blessed last year; we didn’t have perfect health but never filed a claim.

So I was shocked when my 2016 renewal notice showed a 19% monthly premium increase to $1,231—with a higher deductible. All comparable Bronze plans were within dollars of each other, so I grudgingly renewed. My individual health-care cost risk for 2016? It is $1,231 x 12, plus $12,900 in deductibles, for a grand total of $27,672. My individual share is half—$13,836. Nearly 13 times more than the $1,072 of 1999.
