When I was in high school, there were no police on campus. Teachers were the enforcers. Then Republicans took over the country.

Since Republican legislators fund police on campuses, would they be okay with black police in Republican campaign headquarters? They need some slapping. If conservatives would share in getting slapped whenever they're rude, I might approve our right to slap anyone when he's rude, for example, racists on message boards.

Similar to gun laws, shouldn't I have the right to slap in defense? For example, let's say a policeman is about to slap me. I should have the right to slap first, even if I provoked it by following him around while he ate his Skittles, I mean doughnut. If it kills him, well, it's legal in Florida.

But you and I both know the media would have spoon fed a riot if he was white, even if he had been charged in the same manner. I wish we as brothers and sisters of the united states would wake up and realize the issue is not with eachother, but the brain washing the media and government feeds us. They want us to fight each other, takes focus off their corruption.

They want you and I to bicker about our beliefs and views until we hate eachother. But I wont give them the satisfaction. Despite our differing political beliefs you seem like a cool guy, i'd definitely buy you a beer and hug you during a blazers championship parade. Id just check for my wallet after (kidding lol)

A handful of other cops were 'charged' to. However there were also riots over the actions. In this case? Not so much. I believe race plays into that a little more than you may think. But that is just my opinion.

For the record, I am glad all power abusing cops are charged. It's unfortunate that in some cases they can get off on technicalities of the system. I wonder if these two will have that luxury as well.

black people have suffered disproportionately at the hands of racist white cops, and corrupt court systems for centuries. if the cop was white, yes, it would be a bigger deal, and there would be more outrage, because the video would publicly put a face on the injustice. i dont get how people dont understand this.

also, by and large, when you see protests, it is because the offenders have not been charged or found guilty of their obvious crimes. hence the outrage.

now as far as media agendas, without getting too conspiratorial, lets just say its not exactly the white and the blacks they want fighting. its the middle class and the poor.

I don't think it matters the race of the cop. If white and immediately arrested and charged, BLM is satisfied.

    So, I agree ;)

there's more than 1 way to skin a cat. They feed us gun control to bicker over, racial tensions, dem vs. Repub. Class warfare. Ect. As long as we bicker and they slide 800 page bills under the radar full of pork barrel spending and unconstitutional jargon, who cares?

People are easy to control. Government needs 4 things in their pocket; media, check. Food, (farm subsidies anyone?) Check. Air, (taxing you for the air you breathe in is too obvious, so lets tax the air you breathe out, they'll never suspect it) almost check. Water, for the most part government owns the infrastructure for water.

So really they can turn anything off and use the media they own to feed us some bullshit, like these pesky Arab terrorists, they contaminated our water! get us all worked up and fighting while big brother sits back and jerks off. Or pay farmers not to grow crops and then report a cow feed shortage and triple the price of beef (sound familiar?)

I live some where between atlas shrugged and 1984.

    Wow. Someone needs a vacation.

As you know, I am a big supporter of the police in this country. I've worked with them, and I've known many of them on a personal level.

But this is strait up unacceptable. Period. No excuse for this.

I think School Resource Officers (I'm assuming he was?) need to have a LOT more tolerance than the regular beat cop. The regular beat cop has a different problem to address every day: they make an arrest, or the issue a citation, then go about their week.

A SRO has to deal with the same little douchebags on a daily basis. And yes, I have no doubt this kid was probably acting up and mouthing off. The difference here though is that chances are that kid is going to act up again. And again. And again. And the tensions rise with each incident, because the child is immature and doesn't yet have the benefit of maturity or wisdom enough to know that he/she just needs to shut the fuck up and concentrate on school.

But there is never an excuse for this. If you ask me, the principle needs to work better at fixing this problem with the parents BEFORE it gets this out of control.

This is EXACTLY the kind of thing that Law Enforcement just does not need in this country right now. Not when Social Media and Justice Warriors are watching their every move, and not when the issues of race have been so volitile as it has been lately.

I hope they throw the book at this officer. He has disgraced everything I believe about Law Enforcement, and his fellow officers who work hard to keep their communities safe.

And I won't be surprised to see a Lawsuit. But the school needs to be more aggressive in dealing with this shit by bringing the parents in BEFORE it gets out of control. Otherwise, they are just as guilty as everyone else involved.

    That's my take on this.

I think we can all agree on the media being a bigger player in the cause of the riots that turn violent. I guess my thought is that the media needs to start treating things like this equally. Once treated equally, there will (hopefully) not be this division that is fostered by the media. That division is what continually helps fuel the racial hatred. At least in my opinion.

I agree. I will NEVER forgive the media in this country for what they've done against black people, Republicans, race, and gun owners. They make blacks look like hoodlums and rioters, they make Republicans out to be racist, they splash the race of everybody across headlines every time a social issue comes up, and they've made gun owners out to be psycho nutcases who's sole purpose is to mow down people at theaters, schools, and malls.

All because it sells. And it sells because it plays on people's emotions and feelings.

I will never forgive the media in this country. They are vile and immoral.

See? You're getting me wrong. That cop needs to be held accountable, and should be punished as severely as the law allows.

But that doesn't mean the kid should get a free pass for behaving like an asshole.

1st, you don't know if the kid was behaving like an asshole.

2nd, he got the shit slapped out of him, I wouldn't call that a free pass.

So what you're saying is if a kid acts like an asshole he/she deserves violence?

    Yeah... No....

I'd say getting the shit slapped out of him was a pretty good indicator that asshole behavior was at least percieved, if not actually behaved.

Besides, I was just curious what sort of thing the kid could have said or done, or what the cop could have thought the kid said or did, that would, in the cop's mind, justify the escalation from verbal interrogation to physical assault.

That's like saying the woman deserved to get raped because of the way she was dressed.
