I like guys with sneaky long arms! Their opponents often overlook that, which makes it more likely they'll get a block/steal. I know Aminu has long arms, too, but he also LOOKS long and tall, so it's less likely opponents overlook his length.

Lillard btw has a +6" on his wingspan. That explains a lot when he drives to the basket.

We need more than a 3&D wing. We need at least 1 additional wing who can dribble well enough to be an ancillary ball handler. That's why we are talking Durant, Parsons, DeRosan, etc.

It makes me wonder if something went down in the locker room, Rolo didn't look injured, he looked disinterested.

Then there was the story of LMA flying back to Portland by himself...

This was two years ago. Who's missing? Hmm. Any talk of chemistry can only be traced back to one guy.

Right now we don't have anyone who stands sideways before shooting free-throws. Rolo would fill this need quite nicely.

I agree on DeRosan. I was one of the few who wanted him last summer.
The more ball handlers the better IMO. That is why I like CJ at the 2.
But we can talk all we want about the three you mentioned.....they are still all long shots.

RoLo has downsides, I understand that. So does everyone on our team. However, my guess is that our defense would improve a lot with him over Plums. Defense is what we need. That's the idea. RoLo is about 2 years older than Lillard, so he's in the ballpark.

I'd rather have Al Horford or Whiteside, but I think RoLo would be a good option, too.

He's odd because even among NBA team scouts there's a vast range of opinions. Many think he's a vet minimum player but many others think he's worth $10+ mil per season.

Yeah thats how I view him. No he's not a stud option that we should consider day 1 of free agency. But he does bring big interior defense along with a great midrange jumper that nobody else on our roster possess. Against certain quick teams Plumlee would be a better option. But against other teams Rolo would be superior.

He's only 27 and shouldn't decline from age during his contract. Horford and Whiteside will earn $100million plus. Robin is owed $30 million. He has a great attitude and honestly I don't think he'd care if we played him 15mpg when the matchup dictates it or 30mpg if we need it. He has his comics and Disney movies. So if we can find a better use of cap space, yes go for that first. But if we have unused cap space and can snag him for a second round pick for a second time; make it happen.

I just want a big center so that Plumlee can start at PF, where he'll be super.

Lopez didn't quit at the end of the season any more than everyone else did. Matthews, Afflalo, and Wright were out for the season. So McCollum was having to start and wasn't ready. Aldridge missed 3 of the last 6 games. Everyone not dependent on Olshey's coverup knew that Aldridge was leaving.

Would be fun if we could pair the Lopez brothers here in Portland. Plumlee is undersized as a center, and Rolo was a better rim protector, and a bit more polished on offense.
