Warriors are only +4 on us on the season. Is that the closest of any team?

Personally i just don't see why all the Meyers hate? The guy played a good game tonight. Perfect? No. But he played a solid game and at the end he was in there with a number of guys that never play directing everything that was happening.
He also showed glimpses of what he needs to work on. This guy passes the ball better than most bigs in the game and he hits shots from all over the court. The Hatred is just crazy?

The problem is with the Warriors if they are shooting as well as they shot tonight they don't have to guard anybody really. Not just the Blazers but most teams.

Thabeet is a great comparison! He's basically like a Thabeet; plus can hit wide open threes if given more than 10 feet of space. He doesn't block shots like Thabeet though. Either can be defended by a PG.

Meyers had one of his best games of the year tonight. He had a couple missed baskets in the paint and that is all that the haters see.

    Those are all Laker fans.

If the TWolves get Simmons maybe they'll be lifelong Wolves fans in 6 years.

Yeah. He did turn and pass when he should have gone up once and he did miss a couple shots but the hatred is way out of line. The guy is getting better all the time. Tonight i watched post moves and a soft floater that i have not seen much of. The post moves will need to be worked on this summer for sure. I think he got better tonight.

Yes but we missed a bunch of close shots that would have made the difference. The Blazers can play with these guys no question. When they missed the layins the breaks were killing the Blazers. No time to set up defense. I think a few more calls might have helped but it was their court so???

What really killed us was sending them to the foul line everytime we made a bucket..they scored a bunch with the clock dead

Seemed like Dame and CJ were missing mid range they usually make all night and a number of drives. Plus Davis and Plumlee just didn't hit the put backs.

In all seriousness I'm fine with him as a third string guy. He does have some advantages. I don't want us to blow huge dollars on any of our backups as outside DameCJ we have major long term question marks everywhere. Aminu/Ed are on great reasonable deals. Vonleh is further away than Meyers and would get the same criticism except he's so damn young.

But Meyers does make major rookie mistakes and is a disaster on defense. It can be very frustrating to watch.

Something about him is just really fun to hate on. Is it because he's beautiful like a majestic unicorn? Who knows. Just try ripping on him you might start to really enjoy it and then you won't stop. That's what happened to me. Criticized him once back in 2013 and now its gotten real bad. I can't stop.
