Picture me. It's long ago. I'm 7 years old, playing in some peewee basketball league with my dad as coach. I get a rebound under the basket. Nobody's in position to block me. So I go back up and shoot a lay-in.

Sorry but I don't buy your excuses. The man is a professional, 24 year old athlete. Figure. It. Out. It's not rocket science.

Yeah as much as I can be pissed at other teams around the league who are currently winning I'll always hate the Lakers the most. I want them to lose every season and lose their draft picks and have free agents wined, dined, but never sign. Lets hear Magic criticize the coach and the Buss kids fight for control of the team. Kobe can get a fancy statue out front but bitch about what they're doing wrong now. Fuck the Lakers. I'll be happy to see them fail every year.

There's a reason Olshey has targeted PFs in free agency..he'll keep fishing until he gets one. We in the era of young project bigs but Vonleh has lower body strength and length going for him

Exactly. He can be our Matt Bonner. People forget the hell of a run Bonner had at times for the Spurs.

This year was about figuring out which core pieces fit with Lillard long term. CJ is clearly that core key piece. Leonard isn't. Could Leonard have value if we keep him in a lesser role? Possibly. But our first priority needs to be finding key starting pieces with DameCJ. If Meyers has a contract that limits those options; adios.

He also thinks we won the game.
When a player is in his 4th season and people are still making excuses for him - that says it all. Meyers is what he is, and what he is, is a grade D NBA player.

Well everyone should want to get paid. Its not about what Meyers wants; its what he proves on the court and what GM's offer.

He may not ever really acquire that skill. The ability to be a decent rebounder n the NBA level may not be in him. It's like that at every sport. Some guys can't hit a curveball. Some soccer players don't have the ability to dribble with pace. Once you get past a certain age if you don't pick up basics, you never will.

Yep...It's not like Aldridge has ever been an elite rebounder either. Or shot blocker.

Why do you say he's targeted PF's? I think we might be fine there.

Ed Davis can play PF with a shooting center. Vonleh could develop and really doesn't fit anywhere else. Aminu can definitely play PF, in fact I believe its his best position. SF is the biggest need in my opinion.

Although if we do get a legit PF other guys can move to different positions so I suppose the main thing is acquire the best long term forward and have Stotts figure out lineups.

Right now Meyers is a bench player on a cheap contract who can help you win some games. People act like he's a max contract Chandler Parsons who's supposed to be a dominant player...he's not. We get that. He's on the last year of his contract. He might just be a Chandler Frye, Matt Bonner, Brian Scalabrine type guy for a long career...or he might become Peja Stoyokovic or Mike Miller..he's not going to become Drummond or Cousins

He's definitely not going to be Peja or Miller. Peja averaged 24ppg. Miller was rookie of the year. If you mean the 35 year old roll player versions of those guys; yeah maybe.

It would be excellent if Meyers can become Frye. He has a long ways to become that good; he's now at an age players don't improve much.

He had a team high 13 rebounds tonight. I'm not talking about rebounding. I'm talking about posting up guards, I'm talking about having gotten an offensive rebound with nobody in position to block you and not going up and dunking, choosing instead to pass it out. When you play basketball that's just instinctual. You go back up in that situation. Especially if you're 7 feet tall. I know he's got a different skill-set, but you need to at least have a basic comprehension of what happens when you're all alone under the basket with the ball. Other bigs with outside shots know this. 7 year olds know this. I don't think I'm asking to much of him.

He's made plays for Kanter and Monroe and was in talks at the deadline with the Bucks still trying to get Monroe..seems he wants a scoring PF and if that happens from within, great but we've seen a big drop off in double doubles from the 4 and 5 positions. It depends on how long you'd want to develop Vonleh and Leonard as two way players. Ed and Mason are solid guys who you can plug in for matchups but they will never command a double team in the post

I think he's improved a lot after a medium long slump awhile back but what he lacks is confidence at decision making..like many have pointed out..when he's 2 ft from the rim with a 6 ft guy guarding him he needs to dunk the ball instead of look around for 4 seconds trying to kick it out to a 3 pt shooter and I think he's got a beautiful shot from all over the perimeter..so he could be a 3 pt dagger like Peja or Miller if that's where he concentrates his game

His release is way to slow; Meyers could never have a usage rate anywhere close to Peja.

lol at Steve Kerr for playing stephoon and clay vs Roberts and Pat on the front-end of a back to back.

Their home games are the biggest circle jerk in existence, it's nearly unwatchable imo.
Curry makes a simple lay up when they're up by 30 and the crowd goes insane like it's the greatest thing ever. Henderson made a hop to Iggy to close him out and he tripped then you literally see white people do 360jumps from their seats like they've seen the greatest move from Rafer Alston or something.
